The North Star is the star that wanderers and sailors look up to in the silence of night, wishing for the guidance of a leader in their lonely journeys. The dark pelted kit is the image of the guiding star, her pelt dappled with flecks of light, the largest star sitting squarely on her back, surrounded by the swirling winds and tall pine trees. Two long braids drop down from her cheeks, woven carefully by the fawn’s own paws. Her eyes glitter the colors of grass and forest ponds, a lone fawn’s only solace. ~ the guide ~ One thing specific about Polaris is that Ali will subconsciously push her towards helping her siblings more and acting more mature, along with higher expectations. He was raised by Delphine, the only older figure in the whole clan, so he believed that older cats were usually responsible for taking care of younger cats. He isn’t exactly doing it purposefully, okay? So he subconsciously assumes that Polaris would be more independent and mature. Btw it’s not like very obvious, just tiny moments :D like “Polaris, could you help __kit with something?” Or like “Could you do this yourself while I help your siblings?” — — — — — — ⸝⸝ Mementokit ⸝⸝ AMAB ⸝⸝ second ⸝⸝ research required for folded ear ⸝⸝ designed by ⸝⸝ ?˖ ࣪⊹ the memory that remains ⊹ ˖? The fawn named the second kit after the butterfly wing that dangles from a string over his heart, a reminder that it was all real, even if it were nothing but a play of chance. Long, wavy fur coats the little kit, who gazes at you curiosity with blue eyes ringed with gold. Caramel and brown stripes patch his partially white pelt, and spiked flower petals appear here and there, buried into his thick fur, a reminder that the fawn could never forget that fateful night. ~ the remembered ~ Also fun fact but “ memento mori ” means “ a reminder that you will die ” so I guess his name is somewhat depressing? The word memento itself means “ a reminder of a place, person, or thing ” so it doesn’t break any naming rules though No new parenting notes about him :3 though if Ali were to break down crying in front of one of these children, memento will probably be the one okay? — — — — — — ⸝⸝ Evanescentkit ⸝⸝ AFAB ⸝⸝ third ⸝⸝ research required for auricular polyotia ⸝⸝ designed by ⸝⸝ ?˖ ࣪⊹ the beauty that fades ⊹ ˖? When the daystar finally decides the day has stretched long enough and it’s the moonlight’s turn to shine, they resign themselves to the horizon, remembering to paint the skies before they leave. The third child of the litter was painted just like the skies just before the sun disappeared, her pelt streaked with cream, gold and red. On her back sits a few wispy clouds, shaped like wings ready to give her a turn in flying. She seems to be more fur than cat, with long, wispy fur that flies everywhere around her. Thin braids just like Polaris’ dangle down from her cheeks, braided with the same love from the fawn’s paws. Under the midday sunlight, her eyes seem to shine and glitter with the rainbow’s colors, though during any other time, they go back to the pale blue green. A fleeting beauty that lasts for only moments of time. ~ the sunset ~ If the opalescent eyes aren’t allowed I’d be happy to take them away :3 I think I may be a little obsessed with the heart tuft.. ⸝⸝ Saudadekit ⸝⸝ AFAB ⸝⸝ fourth ⸝⸝ no research required ⸝⸝ designed by @Silly_Alistair ⸝⸝ ˖ ࣪⊹ the ache for what is gone ⊹ ˖ There were many days where the spring fawn stared out into the horizon and cried .. no .. he was too numb for tears to come by. Faun had named the fourth kit after those sunrises, as he reminisced on the times where Delphine was still there, a warm glow, just like the kit’s russet pelt. Parts of his back fade into light, just like the skies of those times, those faded parts are even dotted with stars, the glimmers of light he could see that shimmered like a cruel warning for him, telling him that cats so many cats he loved are now up there, whether in their physical bodies or in their souls. ~ the reminiscence ~ No special parenting notes — — — — — — ⸝⸝ Solivagantkit ⸝⸝ AMAB ⸝⸝ youngest ⸝⸝ no research required ⸝⸝ designed by @univ3rse_ ⸝⸝ ?˖ ࣪⊹ the one who wanders on ⊹ ˖ The spring fawn is the one who wanders the forests alone, exploring the world from one end to the other, running without limits holding them down. The spring fawn is the image that the five’s parents wished to live up to, and the image of the very youngest kit. His pelt is a light brown, with the growth of flowers and promises of dandelions swirling throughout the pale fur. Long, wavy fur falls down from their head, similar to a cascading waterfall, quite the rare sight in the forest. That fur is tied together loosely at the bottom, with a short segment of the older fawn’s handiwork woven at the top. His soft pelt is decorated with fines and blooming flowers, attracting butterflies and other insects wherever he goes. His eyes are a bright green, the color of the forests after the first growths. ~ the fawn ~ As the “spring fawn” it’s hard not for Ali to favor him at least a bit. As much as he tries to direct his love equally towards every kit in the litter, he often does find faunself prioritizing Solivagant over the others. Again, similar to Polaris, it’s not very obvious, only tiny moments, probably not even noticeable for most of the kits, so like no extreme “guys dad likes solivagant sooooo much more than us” okay?
