(READ THIS FIRST! also, click on the flag to read the thank u notes n stuff!!) It was just a normal day in Gardenview. It has been a while since the whole place had closed down for maintenance. It had become..lonely. And quiet. Ever since the usual charm and happiness of the place had disappeared. The building that the toons had been living in had been rotting. The wallpaper was starting to peel, the pipes were leaking with the ichor that belonged to the machines, and the train hasn’t been used since..people stopped arriving, of course. The toons had just been surviving all on their own. Until, this one faithful day where everything changed. Just because of a simple batch of cookies made by one of their dear friends. It would have been easily avoided if he was looking— “So, Cosmo, do you have the butter yet for the cookies?” “Yes! Of course, just give me a second to add the eggs..” Cosmo and Sprout were already in the kitchen, making treats for their friends. It was going to be a simple batch because they had been running low on cooking supplies lately. It’s alright though, since they still have the milk, butter, eggs, and sugar! Cosmo was already adding the ingredients into a bowl, while Sprout was preparing the oven for baking. “I’ll be getting the butter now!” Cosmo turned his attention to the fridge, as he got the butter out. Meanwhile, Sprout was focusing on the oven. When they both weren’t looking, there was a leaky pipe just above the bowl. And, the pipe had leaked small drops of ichor when they weren’t looking. “Alright! I’ve got it, Sprout!” “Alright, Thanks, Cos! Just put it in the batter! I’ve already got the oven set up..” Cosmo made his way over to the bowl, before cutting up the stick of butter and putting it into the batter. He mixed up all of the ingredients in the bowl, before rolling the dough out on the counter. He then pressed the dough with cookie cutters. Once he was done, Sprout went over before grabbing the tray of cookies and putting them into the oven. Little did they know that the heat from the oven would speed up the process of the ichor getting deep into the cookies. Sprout went to set up a timer to when the cookies would have been done. He picked up a nearby timer, before setting it to 25 minutes. “I’ve already set up the timer! Do you mind checking up on the other mains to tell them that it’s almost ready?” “I’ve got it! I’ll be right back!“I’ll be getting the butter now!” Then, Cosmo left the kitchen before taking the elevator up to the main lobby. He walked into the main area of Gardenview of where the mains were at. The mains were minding their own business. Dandy was at his shop as usual, Astro was quietly reading on a nearby bench, Vee was checking out the posters near the main entrance, and Shelly was yapping to Vee about the new dinosaur fossils that she had recently dug up. “Hey! Me and Sprout had made a new batch of cookies and I was wondering if anyone wanted to try! He’s in the kitchen!” Cosmo called out to the other mains. “Oh, of course! I would love to..” Astro put his book down, before making his way towards the elevator. “Hm. Sure, I guess that I could..” Dandy followed Astro to the elevators. “Ugh fine. I’ll try to eat something, even though I really can't." Vee quickly followed Dandy and Astro. Finally, Shelly stopped talking to Vee as she turned her attention to Cosmo. “Of course! I would love to try your treats!” Then, all of them made their way towards the elevators before entering it. A few minutes later, they all finally reached the main kitchen. Sprout was still there, watching the oven closely as the cookies baked. Once Sprout heard them, he turned around to face them. “Oh–! Hi! I knew that you were all going to be coming! Well, I didn’t expect for Vee to come, of course. The cookies are almost—” DING! “Haha, there they go! I’ll bring them out..” He put on his oven mitts, before turning off the oven. He opened it before getting out the tray of cookies and placing it on a nearby table. “Just wait a minute before eating them, they're still hot!” The toons sit around and talk while they wait for them to cool down. Eventually, Sprout begins to hand them out to everyone. “Wow, Sprout, these cookies are good!” “Yes, Sprout and Cosmo, these are good!” “Acceptable.” They say as they munch on them. “Thank you both but I believe I'll save this for later... I am quite sleepy.. *yawn*” “Oh ok, Astro! Have fun with your nap!” They watch as Astro heads to the elevator and leaves. Meanwhile they keep talking and eating more and more cookies.
