A little parting gift for the revival of Sonic Catalyst. This was being worked on a more polished version of @poke333's composition: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1277386977. The Korg M1, SGM soundfont, and some KSHMR drums I found online (which were used in @LMNR56's previous songs made for Catalyst) were all used in the making of this track. Additionally, PPZ US and Masayoshi Takanaka drum loops were also sampled in this song. Sonic Catalyst was part of, if not one of the main reasons I continued to use Scratch for as long as I did, something I began 2 years ago. Call me crazy for being nostalgic for 2 whole years ago when we were using those @-SuperNintendo64- vectors, but I really enjoyed that time. I was really hoping that this revival could achieve the impossible (I mean, we technically did. We had a better first act than the original iteration did), but we really need to accept that base Scratch isn't the place for the full-fledged Classic Sonic game that Catalyst was striving to be (but Sonic Gemstone, you keep doing what you're doing). Maybe on another platform like GameMaker or Godot, we can try again. But it likely won't be on Scratch. I'm probably going to try to go back and bring Sonic Sprint Evolution 3 back from the dead, but after that, I don't really see myself using this platform as often afterwards. "Sonic and those with ambition are alike in many ways. Sonic runs towards their goalpost. Aspirers also move toward their goal. To achieve their dream. It's a trek of perseverance, but some wake and leave their dream behind. But those most ambitious will go all the way. They are most like Sonic. Be like Sonic. The way for dreams to come true is to run. To go the distance." Made in FL Studio 2025 for Sonic Catalyst: Rerun. BG Code from Quote made by yours truly.
