After the collapse of the USA, the state of West Virginia would have been in an immense downturn. Already being one of the poorest states in the US, its government subsidies, power integration, and access to agricultural markets would have vanished almost instantly. Its already feeble steel and energy industries would face severe hardships, and so integration will aim to help get West Virginia on its feet again. We request that West Virginia peacefully integrate into the G.L.U, by a 75% referendum. If they join, they stand to gain: -Immediate government subsidies under a more moderate socialist system -A measure of political, religious, and economic autonomy similar to how the states functioned under the USA, though with slightly larger federal oversight -And economic stability and a common defense against the powers that be. We might appeal to the working class, especially leaning on the coal and steel workers, who might feel betrayed by the right and so move to the left, as West Virginia has a bit of a history of unions (Battle of Blair Mountain)
