It was the deadliest tornado in United States history. It was in Missouri, few knew it was coming, and 10-year-old Jack Bootley had gotten smack in the middle of it. He and his family had just moved to Missouri, and when they got there the tornado was already taking down entire towns. He wanted to run, but he was paralyzed by fear. Questions swirled through his mind. "Why didn't the train stop?" "How was this not a myth?" "Am I going to survive!?!" But there were no time for answers. He had to go. He tried to run, but it was no use. The monster tornado got closer, and closer, and the range got closer, and closer, and then... Darkness.
Keep in mind that the first chapter is usually very short, and that in the first chapter, it takes place in the middle of the disaster. That's why it's already happening. Oh and yes, I did make that cover :) So I've been reading a LOT of I Survived recently, and I thought it'd be fun if I made one myself :D
