Okay, i made this because i am tired of heard people saying "ALL AI IS BAD", "AI RUINED YOUTUBE", and a couple other reasons (some later mentioned) Okay, so first of all: NOT ALL AI IS THE SAME. There is: Game AI (this one has been hit hard due to Generative) Generative (this is the one that is hated) Science AIs (to many of these exist lol) and SO MANY MORE! I will likely only talk about a few of these, because i don't have the time to research, remember, ect. Fun fact: AI has existed for OVER 80 YEARS. Games have been doing some basic stuff for 84!! And Artificial intelligence has existed for 74 years! This tech IS NOT NEW. Generative just brought it front and center! You know those Chess Apps? Well... the bots use AI! Rain World? AI! Mario... AI. These have Game AIs! Don't worry, that goomba ain't going to steal your water, only Generative does that. AI IS EVERYWHERE. NOT ALL OF IT IS BAD. Okay, so Generative is the only "bad" (it just needs regulation, and they GOT TO STOP MAKING DATA CENTERS AHH, THOSE SUCKK. But it being able to make art is absolute stupidness) one. Anyways, when people say AI, i know they probably think Generative, but many don't know what any other types are, i have heard people say things like "Rainworld... has AI, BUT ITS COOL!" and that came right after a long talk about how AI is bad (that entire conversation i was freaking out in my head, especially once people started making connections TO GAME AI.). The main reason i am making this is to educate (badly lol) people about this... Okay, now science AIs... uhm... we used it to 'Digital Circus' a fly into minecraft.... XD Its helped make medicine In fact, science AI is absolutely amazing for science, it can read giant strands of DNA. It helps scientists sort stuff, and to do stuff, like scanning a fly's brain! TLDR, not all AI is bad. Most of it is innocent and good, and Generative is giving it all a bad name. and pls stop shoving Game AI into the AI is bad category. Those green lizards in rainworld isn't making bootleg mona lisas. --------------- (and before you comment below... if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it. I'm not in the mood to be yelled at. feel free to put your opinions below.) --------- (oh and yes, i agree Generative AI is pretty bad, it shouldn't be able to do art, it should have much more regulations, and they should stop with the data centers and have it run on your phone)
