A sphere of black, glass-like material. Containing a... home? Two chambers within, one devoid of gravity, quiet and cold but still fairly livable for average mages. The other pitch dark, frigid, and filled with nothing but absolutely airless void. This strange orb descended to the Coral Palace a few weeks ago, and serves as the base of operations for the extraterrestrial that appears to have thrown in it's lot with Tide. CURRENT STATUS: NORMAL 'the device isn't working, but I probably just need to do more reading. The last two attempts gave me a headache for a few hours but it's OK.' 'I want this to work. I can't keep living like this, I really can't. It hurts so much.' 'Nobody even lowers their voices. Expected but still... RUDE. I AM IN PAIN PLEASE DON'T MAKE IT WORSE!!' '...' 'things aren't going well' '...' 'I think I'm running out of mercury' 'I don't want to contemplate what'll happen if I run out before I finish the machine.' 'I want to go home.'
