The Runaway Chapter 9 Medusa woke up the next morning and walked to the training room. Marie and Dark Fire were sitting there. "Alright we're gonna do practice outside" Marie said tossing the Crossbow at Medusa, Dark fire Had a Longbow in his arms, looked like the one under his cloak. Medusa caught the Crossbow with her left arm. "Alright" Medusa said as Marie starting to walk to the door of the training room. Marie led Medusa outside to the open area In Front of the large rock that hid the base. Marie moved to were the border of the tree's and open land stood. Dark Fire was the one who spoke "Today we will be trying to sh00ting Marie with these; We gotta Practice sh00ting moving targets" he said. Dark Fire then raised the longbow, the arrow in it aiming for the sky. Medusa watched as the The Dragon Born pulled the Bow string back and letting go. What was he doing? Medusa thought as the Arrow flew straight in the air. Medusa then heard a Practice arrow fly right past her ear. Medusa then Loaded a practice arrow in the slit of the weapon. Medusa watched as Marie in the distance Moved her bow clearly aiming for Medusa, who suddenly moved her direction the second she saw the arrow come from the crossbow. The Arrow did not come to Medusa instead it flew right behind her before hitting the base were it fell. Aiming the crossbow at Marie she shot a arrow. It clearly missed her target. Marie fired one at her in return it slammed into her shoulder. Medusa thought she was doing good, there was still a chance before Marie hit a f4t4l wound, if it was real arrows. Medusa loaded another arrow, and shot it at Marie. Marie didn't have much time to dodge but some how got out of its range. The Arrow hitting a tree with a thud Medusa could here from all the way over here. Medusa prepared another arrow, as one of Maries hit her right leg. Medusa almost lost her Balance firing the arrow as she regained it. The arrow entering the leaves of the tree and not coming down. Marie made her lose her arrow. Medusa needed to hit Marie with an arrow but how, Medusa thought as she paid attention to every shot Marie took avoiding them. Medusa finally loaded an arrow after a while of avoiding. It looked Like she had shot em all. Medusa then took a shot. The Arrow hit Marie's left leg. Yes I hit her! Medusa thought happily. Celebrating too early, an arrow struck the back of her elbow. Medusa Shot another arrow without trying to aim, it missed and slammed into the ground. Medusa shot another one this time hitting Her knee. Medusa knew it was until it hit a f4t4l spot, so she still had to sh00t. Medusa fired a few more arrows, all of them hitting Marie, but they didn't blow what would be a f4t4l blow. Medusa Noticed That Marie had collected every arrow that flew over there and was using them on her. Medusa reached in the quiver for a arrow, but there was nothing in there. she needed arrows, why did they run out. Marie suddenly pulled out a Arrow from one of the other quivers, wait those were real arrows not training arrows. Was Medusa about to be k1ll3d? Marie then turned and a silver flash went straight from the crossbow. Once again Medusa watched her shoot real arrow at the same direction. Medusa Went over to were Marie was sh00ting. Medusa could tell that she was sh00ting at someone that was in the area. Medusa watched as the person fell to the ground. Marie started walking towards the person. To Medusa's surprise the Person was the Medic of Oreji that had taken care of her when Carnis attacked her. "Cam" Medusa said sitting next to her. "Medusa, I did not expect you to be here" Cam said her voice weak. Medusa saw a arrow logged into her torso. "Marie" Medusa said anger in her voice " YOU SHOT CAM, THE OREJI'S MEDIC, NOW HEAL HER" Medusa screamed in rage. Marie looked at the arrow,"One Problem, the arrow is to deep" she said. "Medusa Can you take me back to Our Village, we are in Relano because Warthif burned Our Village down"Cam said. "But I don't want you to d13, you cant die like this" Tears fell down Medusa's face. "It will be alright" Cam told Medusa. "But WHAT ABOUT YOUR VILLAGE?THEY NEED YOU" Medusa screamed. "They still have Victoria, she will be able to do the work.
