[ • A New Reign ~ TCV • ] an official TCV event A new dawn breaks in, the sun climbing over the mountains to lighten the valley once again. Cats awake to go about their days, yet a strange atmosphere fills the air, as if foreshadowing a disaster.. With squinted eyes, the faint silhouette of a crack in the sky sphere has become visible in the blinding light. If it were to break further, the curse would seep through at a lethal rate. The sphere may not hold all of it back, but enough to keep the valley from turning into wasteland like the outside world once did. If it breaks open far enough, plants would begin to rot, supernatural diseases would spread and over time, the sky would darken. Throughout the course of this event, cats must figure out the cause of the leak, prevent it from furtherly breaking the sphere, and lastly, restore it. [ phases ] The event will be broken down into three major phases - The Search, The Hunt, and lastly, The Restoration. Additionally, failed phases may cause sub phases that repeat the failed one, but also give the cats a consequence to deal with. Runtime overview - Current: buffer between phase one and two Phase one - one week, two days discussion (9 days) Phase two - ten days Phase three - two weeks with up to five days minus Total runtime: roughly four to five weeks [ phase one - the search ] The search is the shortest of all three phases with a runtime of just a week. Throughout this week, clues will be unveiled and posted in the comments of a randomly selected clan studio. Every single cat in that clan gains IRP knowledge of the clue, and may not inform outsiders. It is now up the clan to discuss and examine the clues, which may only happen irp. The deputies are required to engage with their clanmates and prevent panic from spreading within their clan. At the end of the week, a gathering for highranks and one warrior of choice will take place. The selected cats are given 48 hours to discuss, before submitting their findings and moving on to next phase or subphase. [ phase two - the hunt ] During the hunt, cats must confront the leak‘s cause, and are given ten days to do so. The deputies of each clan may choose whether to try and fight or find a peaceful solution, maybe even engaging. The cause will begin to require certain circumstances in order to prevent the leak from spreading after a few days. If these circumstances aren’t present in time, a day is taken off the final phase‘s runtime. A final requirement will be shared around day seven depending on progress. If it isn’t met by the tenth day’s end, the phase fails. During this phase, cats may engage at the borders and deputies can join forces temporarily to work together. [ phase three - the restoration ] The final phase, by norm two weeks long, requires cats to discover a way to permanently seal the leak and do so as fast as possible. Deputies may interact with their leaders to try and carefully talk valuable information out of them. The borders will close during this phase, preventing any cat from communicating with other clans. On the weekend halfway through the phase, a small gathering between deputies is held. After discovering a solution, all cats within a clan must work together to achieve it. After doing so, the clan becomes safe from the disaster. [ after the phases ] Following directly after, two outcomes are possible, one of them being the leak remaining unpatched, spreading a dangerous supernatural plague within the valley, which triggers a follow up event. Healer npcs will disappear in any case, each in their own way. [ afterword ] The event has been a work in progress for moths, mainly since a lot of ideas went through my mind and many were thrown out. It's meant to create a seamless switch from npcs to real cats, which I very much prefer over hiding the early days of this roleplay by acting as if these npcs never existed. In addition, anyone who joined before the event‘s runtime, is officially an og ^^ [ credits ] Zoom in code by Art & roleplay by me () (Time taken for painting - 4 hours in one sitting) Music: Toby Fox - DELTARUNE Chapters 3+4 OST - 15 Vapor Buster Characters belong to their respective owners!
