get the basic ideas down, then specify! write what the character is doing/feeling/etc THEN get the adverbs and adjectives! -> @Xenophanes_X What helps me is just write. Remember the general theme as you write, don’t think so much about it. How is your character feeling? How would you express that into words? -> @_-Willowsong-_ I try to include lots of vocabulary and sensory details if that helps! -> @Violetlight2014 Research the character extensively to make sure you know exactly how they talk. -> @NECRO_NERD Mmm, as someone who has been roleplaying for years, what I can say is that practice, even just writing, will help a lot. Everyone has their own styles and way of doing it, so there’s not much tips out there. Besides that, all I can say is make sure your actions and speaking are separated by some sort of symbol, be short with your responses unless describing something important, and don’t use huge words. Make it understanding to everyone. -> @Icysalamender Don’t feel pressured to match someone else’s exact reply length, but also try to make sure that your reply isn’t drastically shorter than the other person’s. It can be really draining to roleplay with someone who, say, writes 1 sentence long replies in response to 2 comments. -> @TinyFrog_WC You must become the character to roleplay them to their best capabilities and your own. It often helps to sit there for a few seconds and imagine you are that person. It's not unlike when you read a book and start to feel like you are that character. -> @dhjsadksn
