What is Bipolar disorder? Bipolar Disorder is a neurological condition characterized by episodes of Mania or Depression. Bipolar disorder has multiple different types all showing in their own way Bipolar Disorder I is characterized via one manic episode followed by a or coming before a hypomanic or major depressive episode sometimes even causing a break from reality Bipolar Disorder II is characterized via one major depressive episode and one hypomanic episode but never a manic episode. Episodes can last days to months. What happens in episodes? In a Mania or Hypomania episode Snapdragon may feel 1. extremely happy or excited 2. Large amounts of energy 3. Inability to focus or easily distracted 4. Rushed decision making often ones Spandragon will regret later 5. Rapid thoughts and ideas 6. Little or no need for sleep 7. Being talkative or speaking quickly In major depressive episodes Snapdragon may feel 1. No interest in hobbies or activities 2. Sleeping little or sleeping too much 3. Sometimes the inability to make decisions Mixed episodes are episodes that display traits from both and Rapid cycling is displayed via four mood episodes in a year, switching between Mania, Hypomania, and Depression. Other features of Bipolar Disorder includes: Anxiety, Psychosis, Melancholy How will it affect Snapdragon? Snapdragon will struggle in retaining friendships or relationships and focusing on activities. Being irritable during episodes and severe mood swings struggling to keep her emotions in check. During Mania she’ll be bouncy, blasting ideas at those around her, and supposedly happy while during night unable to get sleep and During depressive episodes Snapdragon will be sluggish, uninterested in things she enjoyed, eating more then she usually does and napping more during the day.
