Okay, so... ...I know I've been procrastinating a lot. I've got a lot going on. I gotta be honest, I do still enjoy Scratch, but the only place I can actually get on it is school. At home, I have a lot of responsibilities and a lot to do after school everyday, and I don't get home until 6-7:00 (don't you dare say it) PM because of Cross-Country, and end up staying up late having to do it. On top of all this... ...my family discovered my grandmother's sickness was worse than we thought previously, and only has a year left at best (This happened 9/10/26, not long after I got home). "But Ase, can't you just quit school?" Unfortunately not. 1. school is the only place I can actually get onto scratch and do more than just voice act. 2. I'm so close to finishing and getting that high school diploma... ...I don't want to give up. 3. Mom and Dad say if I get kicked from the Cross-Country team, they'll have me doing a 5k every day (honestly, not too bad, NGL). 4. I gotta try and get my grades back up. They're starting to slip. 5. My parents are kinda stereotypical. They're afraid that if I stay on Scratch/the cord, I'll appear as a pr3d@t0r to others, which is stupid because many high schools actually allow BOTH sites (just ask @Luna_Emily1955). It's not fair. It's not fair that I have to choose between mental stability and the one thing that actually makes me happy... ...between my real family and my online one... ...between the truth that could separate everyone or a facade to protect both families. I pretend I'm okay all the time... ...that I'm some happy-go-lucky guy who's always optimistic... ...but I'm not. I'm almost 18, but I still cry like a child in private. I run to others for help because the people I know IRL would remove all ties to Scratch, and I'm too afraid to own up to my secret. ...I'm praying for things to get better, and I hope that they do. ...Thank you all. -Ase
The three most important people in my online family: @roxannewolfEEeEE - my soul-sister, and one of the people I look up to most... ...thank you for always being there for me. @Luna_Emily1955 - a fellow Christian.. ...you help me keep my faith, and help me turn back to God whenever I feel down... ...Thank you. - A fellow senior... ...You know how stressful high school can be, and yet you're still making jokes about it... ...Thank you for helping me keep my spirits high. Per suggestion by , I'm going to be taking a break from Scratch until Cross-Country season is over, which means I might not be back until October-November. I'll still be active on the cord, so y'all don't have to worry too much. If you wanna check in on me, and you've accepted/sent a friend request, feel free to DM me! If not, you can ask someone in the studio if they've heard anything.
