New OC! - Jane

(Click or press space to see next slide.) I don't think her design is completely finished, but someone requested that I post her so here she is! I might put more art in this project but we'll see idk. Yeah, she was kind of inspired by the song playing in the background. It's basically her theme song lol. Anyway, let me tell you a bit about her character and story (which if I'm being honest I haven't really thought about a lot lol). I don't know if this will make any sense. :sob: So basically, Jane is like a horse-human creature (I will make a name for the species but for now it's unnamed lol). She's 26 years old and is the lead guitarist for a band she's in (also unnamed :skull:). She lives in a world that's kinda similar to the real world, but there are sort of "magical" properties. The main one is the place I call "the sleeping realm" (I hope that doesn't stick :skull:). Basically, instead of dreaming when they fall asleep, the characters in this world get transported to another body in "the sleeping realm", and basically it's just a place where you prioritize having fun and unwinding to prepare for the next day, in "the waking realm" (don't slime me please :sob:). The "waking realm" is where basic daily life happens. People go to school, work, do hobbies, hang with friends, etc. etc. Places like movie theaters and amusement parks do exist in the "waking realm", but are much more common in the "sleeping realm", as costs are cut to like half or more in the "sleeping realm". That's basically all I know about those "realms" so far. I hate world building so much lol it's kinda boring- ANYWAYY. I'm still working on the plot of Jane's story but the main premise is that Jane has something going on with her brain where when she sleeps, there's a chance that in the "sleeping realm", she can kinda lose her sanity for a moment and forget who she is and become very violent for like minutes at a time. And it wasn't always like this, it just kinda happened one day. (Btw I will create a character design for Jane's "sleeping realm" body but the art in this project is just her regular "waking realm" form.) So basically, this is a problem cuz in the "sleeping realm" it's like MUCH MORE serious of a crime to hurt or krill someone, since the "sleeping realm" is meant to be a place where people can relax and not feel negative emotions (which people low-key abvse like they be sleeping all day but anyway that's just a small detail-), so basically she be trying not to be yoinked by the POLICE while also being deathly afraid of sleeping even though she literally needs to lol. And I'm thinking of adding some sort of religious undertones in the story or smth but idk AGAIN I haven't been thinking a lot about it (mostly cuz I'm lazy :sob:). I will likely tweak a lot of things about the story the more I develop it, but we'll see what happens lol. Feel free to give me character design, plot, world building or basically any suggestions in the comments. I'd actually really appreciate it. Erm yeah that was Jane I LOVE HER SM- Also yeah those dark circles under her eyes are just dark circles yeah they're very dark lol-
