Click the block to get points, as you get more points you travel through different Biomes/Layers (see bellow) In the top right of ur screen you can see an enchanting table, this is ascetically the upgrade menu, click on it to get upgrades using points you earn, once you buy an enchantment you will rebirth back to 0 clicks) If you click "S" you open settings, where you can toggle the music, or adjust the sfx volume. The layers are: Grass, Dirt, Stone, Deepslate, Obsidian, Nylium, Netherack, Netherbrick, Stonebrick, endstone, purpur, bedrock and void (in that order)
