original request by @ASB-Studios UnderTale: The Hacker's End by Iamaboss0 even though he asked for normal VHS, the fact i was 6 months late made me decide i'll just do a flatout full reimagining of the concept, focusing on the fact The Hacker's End is supposed to be a severely tampered copy of undertale. lore is simple; player attempts to mod the game, but messes up the code so badly they accidentally fused literally everyone (including gaster and co) into sans. nothing paranormal is going on with this fella, he's just a bunch of spaghetti code. phase 1 is essentially a randomiser, as every dialogue and attack are completely random due to the game having no idea what to do with this sans-shaped thing. phase 2 eventually bricks the game after throwing randomised attacks that stack on top of each other, forcing a restart that essentially means the player is permanently softlocked here until they either reinstall the game to fix everything or tamper with the code again to undo the mess. there is no phase 3 because of phase 2's jank, but if the player successfully avoids the brick trigger, his sprite would stop rendering and the game would become a disastrously unstable mess that has a high chance of crashing the computer every 5 seconds. when trying to powerscale this guy, just remember you kind of... can't. just imagine that pretty much every matchup ends in his opponent dying or being kicked because phase 2 basically blows up the timeline it's in during when it bricks the game, phase 3 being worse as it just deletes the enemy by crashing the universe. fun fact: this guy canonically has no animations whatsoever, he's just a static image.
