Vet Check Checkup on 5 horses Quite the load came over today, and I'll be giving them all a general checkup! I do not claim partial or full ownership of any of these horses! First was Mosaic, so I did a quick check of her vitals and they were all good, I checked her legs for any swelling and gave her her dewormers and vaccinations. She took the dewormer well but panicked at even the sight of the vaccinations so it was a bit of a challenge to get those in, but I got it done! I'd say that if you can, try to do a bit of desensitization to vaccine bottles, just take and empty one and walk around with it, half it in her stall when she's supervised, just basically show her its not going to hurt her. Next was Obi! This boy was super chill and let me do a check and dewormer and vaccinations without a fuss, although he is looking on the leaner side. As he is a little skinny, although not dangerously so just make sure he's eating all his food and if needed you can add some dietary supplements to it, although if he eats all of it and doesn't exert himself too much too often he should be fine. After Obi was Silvi! She's a stunning young girl, I can tell you that! I again did the quick vitals check and then gave her the vaccinations and dewormer. She took them well and is definitely a level-headed young mare! She's all healthy and just keep on treating her how you've been treating her and you'll be good! Next was Hope. She's literally like the calmest horse I've ever given shots too, you should be impressed. I checked her vitals and they were all good, but I did notice that her hooves were packed tightly so make sure to clean them out well and regularly so that no moisture sits and creates thrush. Last horse of the day was Doe! She was very fidgety and wasn't very pleased with basically everything I did to her, but she tolerated it. She's developing well and is very healthy! All in all this was a busy day of vet checks but none of them broke a crosstie, so I'll count that as I plus! (Ahem, Onyx)
