ok wip i will!! be finishing this trust… i was gonna draw aventurine from like the kura sushi collab bc i went and got a cool cup but it turned into aventurine waveflair bc idk everything was so orange (summer) but now i gotta talk about the lovers (studio heartbreak) because i do have thoughts it was sooooooo close i really wanted to love it because i love the premise, the art and animation is absolutely stunning like who doesnt want sad fish lesbians. but the pacing was just not… so short films don’t necessarily need a cohesive plot or even like a plot in general but to do this you really have to pull it off well or else it just misses the mark entirely, the lovers just wasn’t executed well in short film form and we were just jumping around even just a little more something between sirena and sara would’ve went a long way so it didn’t feel like sara was giving up everything to kiss a fih only once??? if the art wasn’t so well done and maybe if it wasn’t fih and yuri the reception mightve been a lot different i really did have high hopes and roped my whole friend group into watching fih yuri i also read a sorta fih (ocean??) sad yuri a few months back (totally different plot) but i really loved it and wanted to love this too am still going to rewatch because there were some amazing sequences and scenes (artwise) but aaaaaaah it was SO CLOSE idk ty for reading my quick rant
anyways i am alive and still doing things sometimes
