> ... > ... > ... > (Power on.) > I, "Woke up," rather fast. No, I suppose not. Toons and humans and animals, "Wake up." I, "Power on." >Waking up is a pleasant term, though. Even though I don't do it, maybe I should refer to my powering on as waking up. > I had a bit of a struggle getting out of my bed. I'm still not used to my legs, even after yesterday. So I spent a few minutes trying to walk in my room. I took this time to look around at my surroundings. > I had a desk. I don't know why. I don't need a desk, for I do not read, write, draw, or anything of that sort. If I needed to do one of those things, I could just do it with my mind. > I also had drawers. In the drawers were different pairs of clothes. Intriguing. I tried on each one, but couldn't settle for one that looked good on me, so I stuck with the ones I was already in. While looking through the drawers, I also found pajamas. I suppose I should have worn those to go to sleep. Whatever. I'll do that tonight. > After I looked around my room some more and found nothing of interest, I went out of my room for the morning. I should go ask my creators what my morning routine is. > I hopped in the elevator, waiting for it to bring me up to ground level. Then, I went through the door which I remembered was the door Delilah and Arthur were behind. I went in. > "Vee! Just on time. I knew Delilah had programmed timing in you..." Arthur said, almost as soon as I went through the door. My name was Vee Version 1, not Vee. I was not used to this. But, it was okay, so I decided it wouldn't hurt if I just went by Vee. > "Arthur. What is my morning routine?" I asked him. > "Ha, I knew you would ask that. Well, you should go walk around Gardenview center, and check the security cameras for anything wrong." I was confused. Security cameras? What security cameras? > "I don't believe I have access to the security cameras, Arthur." I told him. He stiffened up. > "I'll talk to Delilah about that. Just look around Gardenview Center for now, okay?" I nodded. Then, I left. > "Looking around Gardenview Center" was rather easy. All I had to do was walk, which I was mastering. I wanted to be thorough, so I checked everywhere for any signs of anomalies. Nothing looked out of the ordinary. > But now, I had nothing to do. So, I sat down on a bench near the entrance of Gardenview. I glanced over at the train tracks. There was a large gate in front of them, and no train to be seen. I wondered if the train would eventually come. > I lost that thought, and now there was nothing more to think about. Suddenly, I felt another anomaly in my system. > (Identifying emotion...) > Boredom. > Unlike humor, I disliked boredom. It made me feel heavy. I wanted it gone. > Then, out of the blue, Shelly had come up to me. > "Vee! Oh, finally someone who gets up at the same time I do. Everyone else wakes up super late, and for a good chunk of the morning, I had no one to talk to!" She exclaimed. She wanted to talk to me? Didn't she know after yesterday that I could barely maintain a proper conversation for over two minutes? Ah, but I did, in fact, have a question. > "Shelly, if you don't mind, may I ask you something?" I asked. > "Of course!" She responded. > "What is your last name?" She looked at me as if this was a rather odd question. > "Oh, did I forget to tell you? I'm so sorry! Um- it's Fossilian." She responded. Fossilian. Shelly Fossilian. That was a decent name, I thought. Better than, "Sprout Seedly." That name sucked. > We sat in a long, awkward silence after that. > "Do. you wanna hear some dinosaur facts?" She asked me. I do not believe I have dinosaur facts coded in. > "Okay." I responded. It could be rather interesting, and educational. Shelly's face immediately lit up. > "Did you know that the largest herbivore EVER was a dinosaur?! It was called the Argentinosaurus! The larger ones were over 35 meters long!" That was genuinely interesting. I made sure to remember that. The Argentinosaurus, huh? Sounds cool. > "The carnivorous dinosaurs were actually smaller than the herbivores! The T- Rex, which is the most well known dinosaur, is FAR smaller than the Brachiosaurus." We continued talking like this for a while, with her spewing dinosaur facts, and me jotting them down. > "I heard that soon, I'm gonna get my own floor, and it's gonna have lots of dinosaur skeletons AND fossils! In fact, each main is going to get their own floor, including you, probably!" She told me. My own floor? How interesting. But, I already had a room, so why would I need a whole floor? Maybe the floors were for something else. Just as I was pondering about my floor, Sprout and Astro had come out of the elevator, and were heading to the door where Arthur and Delilah were behind. > "Hey you guys! Whatcha doin'?" Shelly yelled to them. > "We're going to ask Arthur and Delilah about Cosmo!" Sprout yelled back. Astro looked at us awkwardly, and nodded.
(continued) > "Oh yeah! Maybe Delilah is already working on him, based on how excited you've been." Shelly responded. This seemed to make Sprout smile more, and he grabbed Astro and ran behind the door. > Shelly sighed, and stood up. > "I'm gonna go have breakfast now! Wanna come with?" She asked me. > "Shelly, I am a robot. I cannot eat anything." I told her. > "Oh yeah... For company then! You're not busy, right?" I paused to think. No, I wasn't busy. > "Sure, I can come with you." Me and Shelly went down to the kitchen floor. I have come to think of Shelly as someone who would like to be good friends with me, and I was fine with that. So, I assumed we were friends now. > Dandy was in the kitchen, chowing on some pancakes. Pebble was eating out of a dog bowl. > "Oh, hey you two? Have you come for breakfast?" He asked. > "Yep!" Shelly responded, grabbing some pancakes for herself. After she was done serving herself, we sat down at a table. We chatted some more, and my humor function was activated multiple times. I also felt a new emotion. > (Identifying emotion...) > Happiness. Huh. I thought I was happy before, but this felt nicer. More warm and fuzzy inside. > Eventually, I decided to go back up to Gardenview Center. Shelly was going to the Toon Rooms. We said our goodbyes, and off we went. > I haven't yet explored Gardenview Center fully. I looked around, and saw two different shop- like areas. Both of them were unoccupied, but had items in them. They looked like us. They were... > (Identifying objects...) > T- Shirts, Plushies, Mugs, Trading cards- and a lot of them had toons that I didn't recognize on them. Just then, Sprout and Astro burst out of Delilah and Arthur's office. > "VEE! We have FANTASTIC news! Delilah is working on Cosmo!" Sprout yelled to me. I had forgotten to ask who or what Cosmo was when he mentioned it before. > "What is, 'Cosmo?'" I asked. > "In the Dandy's World show, I had a best friend named Cosmo! And now... He's actually coming to life!" Sprout exclaimed. > That's when I realized. All of those other toons that I hadn't recognized... They were from a show. A show I hadn't watched. And, they were going to come to life. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1380053541/ Next: Coming soon!
