Chapter 4: “Hey Alana” Victor gives me his famous golden smile. I roll my eyes. “What do you want?” I hear some girls whispering behind me, oh that’s what he wants. “Just wanted to say hi” I plaster on a fake smile, “ok, hey jerk! Not interested in being your pawn again, go break some other girls' hearts.” I walk off. The girls I heard whispering earlier follow me, “Is it true you dated Victor Hernandez?" I sigh, “Yes, over a year ago though.” They smile and sigh, “You’re so lucky! What’s it like?” I give them an honest stare, “It looks good but trust me, it’s a burden. He’s not as perfect as he seems.” After school Victor jogs over to me, “Alana!” I roll my eyes. “What do you want?” He sighs like he’s out of breath, “I wanted to talk to you” he pants while bent over. Maybe he was out of breath. “About what?” I say hastily. He looks around, “Can I come to your house?” he asks. I nearly screech at him, “WHAT!?” He looks at me “Please” I take a deep breath and sigh “For what?” I reply bitterly. He bends his head low, “I need you to tutor me, you’re super smart and my grades are starting to slip in math and if I'm failing I can’t play football…” I cut him off, “I think I get it.” I roll my eyes, take a deep breath, and sigh. “Fine” I say through gritted teeth. Wait, why did I just agree to let VICTOR come over to my house? I loathe him! I can’t stand him! His charm doesn’t work on me anymore. Right?
