NEXT WEEK! Watch one of our fan-favorites take to the skies over Chino: The Vought F4U-5 Corsair! This is the youngest Corsair in our collection, but it's also our first Corsair, which we acquired in 1964 as a donation from a WGA pilot. It will be piloted by Ken Obiwa, who currently flies for WGA. As usual, engine start will happen at around 1:30, and Ken will do a 15 minute flight demo before landing and having a little Q&A session. We'll also have ALL of our other Corsairs on site: the F4U-1, both FG-1Ds, and our F4U-4, so you can see the evolution of the Corsair from the Birdcage -1 to the longer nosed -5. At 2:30, we'll be running the engine of our new FG-1D for the first time! Our P-51, DC-3, and L-1049 will also be available for rides, along with the SBD-5. There’s a lot of cool things planned this weekend, so come by if you have the time!
