Moon One Krow was nestled beside a rock helping Boulder pick out patrols to hunt. Boulder kept looking between the chosen patrol; Mothie, Caramel, Gull, Chris, and Snowball. All five looked confident, yet Mothie had a glint of worry in her eyes. “Don't worry,” Krow said quietly. “If anything, daylight is the best time to hunt. More prey.” he added with an encouraging wag of his tail. Caramel glanced at Krow curiously, for it wasn't like him to comfort Learners. Krow caught his glance and gave a warning snarl; however it was clearly driven by embarrassment. All of a sudden Gull stood up, their eyes shown cold as ice in the broad daylight. “Let's go, this prey won't hunt itself.” they said. All of the patrol stumbled towards the exit of the pack area, and vanished. Boulder turned to Krow. “Perhaps I need a helper in my job,” he admitted, looking deeply into Krow’s eyes. “Perhaps. I wonder which idiot you'd drag up for that,” Krow said, almost in surprise. Boulder tilted his head. “I'll be with Adder, she's sick.” Krow huffed, walking across the pack area and into the den in which Pinecone healed the pack. Boulder was left sitting alone, and he narrowed his eyes in concentration. Krow was a troubled Hunter, and Boulder wondered what had gotten him to this stage of fear. ˗ˋˏ ♡ ˎˊ˗ “I actually caught something!” Mothie complemented herself. “A big fat rabbit, it can feed all the pups!!” she said, flexing her shoulders as if the strongest Learner ever. Mothie continued following Gull and their patrol, but suddenly fell over a rock. Mothie’s nose sliced, her paw bent backwards and she whimpered in surprise. "O-ow..” she said, reaching a shaky paw to her face. When Mothie glanced forward, Caramel, Gull, Snowball and Chris were gone. Mothie was left injured and alone. She attempted to stand, but her hurt paw was numb and floppy.
