THIS UPDATE IS IN PROGRESS. THERE MAY BE LOTS OF GLITCHES AND THINGS NOT WORKING! Welcome to 2D Minecraft! Here is a simple guide to how to play. Movement: To move around, use the WAD or arrow keys on computer and the buttons on mobile. Blocks: There are many different types of blocks, such as trees, stone and even lava! You can mine any block, just walk up beside it, press it and wait 2.5 seconds. Better pickaxes make mining quicker. Some blocks need better pickaxes to collect the materials. (You need a copper pickaxe to mine iron ore.) Inventory: Press E on computer or the 3 dots on mobile to open it. Then, press R or the 3 dots to close it. You craft by tapping on the materials. The crafting recipes are the same as in regular Minecraft (see below). To move inventory slides, press the arrow at the top of the screen. Caves: To enter the caves, mine down to the bottom of the screen and step on the black line, when you will be teleported into the caves. Jump up to the top black line in the caves to be teleported back. Health: Your health is in the heart at the top left of the screen. The only things that can harm you are zombies and lava. Watch out for them! Hunger: In the game, your hunger meter (drumstick) will gradually deplete. You can kill the pig by hitting it to gain a raw porkchop, which you can use to heal a bit of hunger. If you have full hunger, it will heal your health too. Night: When the yellow clock in the corner turns night, night will fall. If in survival mode, a zombie will spawn. The only way to remove it is by killing it. Better swords make killing it quicker. Creative mode: If you press the CREATIVE MODE button and type yes or y, you will be put into creative mode. This means you can fly, you have unlimited resources, unlimited health and hunger, blocks will be mined instantly, and the zombie will not spawn. Crafting recipes: (Only read it you do not already know them) Oak planks: 1 oak log for 4 Sticks: 2 oak planks for 4 Pickaxes: 2 sticks and 3 material (wood planks, cobblestone, raw copper, raw iron, diamond) Sword: 1 stick and 2 material (wood planks, cobblestone, raw copper, raw iron, diamond) To mine a ore of the next material, you need the next best pickaxe. Commands (Creative mode): /time set noon (sets the time to day) If you've played the original game, I've fixed both the disappearing block glitch and the inventory glitch.
