We need help to make Scratch a better place. Comment on @MissyDonut’s project above. Remix this project (or theirs). Spread the word. MissyDonut’s comments: I just saw 2 projects about how toxic scratch has become. I'm not proud of it. I've been on for a long time and learned a lot. Thanks to this site I've felt like I can make a difference in the world. It's made me feel loved and supported by so many scratchers who I felt connections with. Every time someone says they love my content it breaks my heart because that's why I do this. Because it's fun and I love making others feel the same way Scratch has made me feel for the past 4 years. But as much as I don't want to face the truth, it's waiting for me. I'm just a kid, and there are so many others who are like me out there. Practically raised by scratch, but now losing faith in it slowly. There are users out there who steal info and art. There is ai scratch is using. There are thousands of users whose passwords were leaked in the big hack. Including mine. All of mine. My like 5 accs. My password that I memorized when I was 6 years old. The one password I can't bring myself to change. I'm trying not to cry right now, but this is all true. There are adults pretending to be kids out there. Doing creepy stuff. And there are even creepier idiots stealing art for no reason. If you've ever stolen art, listen to me and never do it again. I'll teach anyone who needs it how to draw. I'll help anyone who needs it to feel supported and loved. I'll do whatever I can to pick up the broken pieces of Scratch and help heal everything happening, but it won't be enough. People are quitting. Rapidly. The friends and amazing artists I've known for so long are getting mentally harmed, banned, quitting, getting their art stolen, their passwords leaked. And suddenly all the help I thought I had is gone, and the pieces are shattering into more. It's too much for me. I'm not quitting, but I need help from anyone who's hearing this. Help to heal Scratch. Do whatever you can to help this cause. Message Scratch Team. Report anything harmful or suspicious. Ask your friends on scratch if there's anything you can do to help them be happier. The goal is to make Scratch a kid-friendly, comforting website to grow and nurture together again. To make everyone feel united and comforted. It will only work if you help. I hope I'm not alone in this cause and this hope. And I hope a nerdy little doodling writer like me can lead a change in Scratch and help make it a better place. Piece by piece. My heart is heavy right now after hearing everything, but I hope I can make the load a little lighter for everyone.
