Hello! As a rotational owner of the official Spop community ( https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/50987046/ ) I have brought it upon myself to install a list of topics that REQUIRE trigger warnings! Failure to comply will get you in trouble. We don't forget names. ----- Start quote from https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/34672733 ----- What is a tw (trigger warning)? A trigger warning is a warning at the beginning of a comment that warns of potentially triggering content. The TWs on this list are common triggers, we do not add triggers that only trigger a small group of people. Example Tw, fish))) Fish are really cool, I like the way they swim! ----- End quote ----- Of course, fish do not need trigger warnings, but you get the picture, you need to list the content of the comment before you post it. This is unneeded for comments that do not contain such things. ----- List of triggers that need a warning ----- - Derealization - Discrimination + Mentions of homophobia, racism etc need this warning - Disturbing imagery + Includes vomit, gore, blood, etc, specify which one(s) - Desire to harm others or oneself + Which isn't even allowed anyways. - Hospitals - Injury - Medical procedures + There will be a little section on this, don't worry - Paranoia + Doxxing, existential dread, potential loss of a life - Politics - Religion - Vents - Violence - War - Weapons - Weight ----- For video ----- - Disturbing imagery - Flashing lights - Loud noises - Jumpscares ----- Examples of some "iffy" ones ----- Derealization: - Derealization is anything that might trigger derealization, which is the thought or belief that you're not like the others in the sense that you don't exist. This is under the dissociation umbrella. -- Examples - You aren't real - Life is a simulation - ____ is AI ----- Paranoia - Is anything that could potentially trigger paranoia. This also includes topics that are anxiety inducing. -- Examples: - I am in your walls - You are now manually (blinking, breathing, etc.) - _____ will happen on December 13th 3035 - The fog is coming - I know where you are - You only love something until it's gone ----- Menstruation - Menstruation as a trigger warning itself is generally vague and hurtful to the stigma surrounding people AFAB (Assigned female at birth). - If you mention blood or the general bodily fluids surrounding periods, you need a tw for disturbing imagery, blood or bodily fluids. It would be best if you specified. ----- Dysphoria - The dysphoria tag is used whenever something could cause dysphoria. - The dysphoria tag is NOT for the general mention of gender dysphoria, but can be used as such. It could be best if you specified which, like kin dysphoria, gender dysphoria, etc. ----- Vent - Putting "vent" as your trigger warning isn't enough and you also need other trigger warnings to go along with it. ----- Start quote from ----- - Minor Injury surface level cuts and scrapes, bruising, splinters, first degree burns, domestic animal inflicted (unless falls under something in major) - Major Injury broken fractured and dislocated bones, sprains and strains, concussions, second and third degree burns, wild animal inflicted, infections ----- End quote ----- "Why do we need a trigger warning?" Trigger warnings keep people safe and help them navigate online spaces safely. It keeps people from experiencing unwanted triggers during their time here! ----- Remember: The mere mention of something does not require a trigger warning, but something that might trigger that feeling requires a trigger warning. Of course, this is not the case for some: - Disturbing imagery (like the mention of blood) - Hospitals - Injury - Medical procedures - Weapons - It also depends on the context it is used. Please keep that in mind. ----- Please respect these guidelines, as we have many people who are triggered by these topics, once more, failure to comply may result in temporary closure of the studio. Please and thank you,
