In the early hours of the morning the Japanese army was just waking up and started the normal process of their morning routine. They thought that it was going to be a normal day, until out of nowhere long range missiles struck them out of nowhere. The war has started! (Land assault) Via Manchuria around 10k men moved past the Chinese border into Russia. Our forces were carrying light weapons to let them move faster in the rough conditions as the region doesn’t have a lot of infrastructure to start with. They would carry light assault rifles and other light weapons to move faster. Forces would attempt to take control of what little infrastructure that was in Russia to try and use them to move supplies. But the Japanese would put up heavy resistance to the assault of the infrastructure. Seeing heavy casualties in both sides. Helicopter forces would play a key role in the assault like usual when it comes to Tai assaults against the Japanese. They would land large amounts of forces behind enemy lines with the cover of machine gun fire. They would mainly land near enemy controlled towns and roads before leading large scale assaults on them hat are ment to cut off supplies to forces on the front lines. HAT *helicopter assault troops* would also move in the forests to take down any enemy troops that they could find. Basically gorilla warfare to give you an example. They would try to stop any reinforcements from getting to the front lines as well as push the enemy morale to an all time low. Making this a war of attrition for Japan. Troops would push farther into Japanese territory as due to HAT assaults the Japanese forces on the front line would be weakened letting infantry push farther. They would struggle to move forward through as due to the mountains and other natural conditions we would fail to get supplies to the front lines quickly but that an be fixed soon enough. (Naval assault) Due to Japanese navy not being in the greatest shape currently we would take advantage of that quickly. Our forces would launch a large aerial assault on enemy beach defense early in the war. This would weaken them for a large scale attack on the islands. They would aim for military defenses like machine gun nests, artillery positions, trenches and more to try and weaken their defenses as fast and easy as possible to lower casualties early on. On our side of course. Soon after the bombardment around 5k men landed on the coast of the islands in the south. They would use the destruction of the naval bombardments to advance faster than normal due to there being little resistance thanks to the naval assault. They would try and capture key roads quickly in the fight to secure the islands as fast as possible. This would be a struggle as civilians would try and resist but to no avail. They defenders on the islands stood no chance as they were heavily weekend. Soon the islands would fall to the military assault and key bases would be set up on the islands for supplies in the future as well as to defend them better. (This last part was heavily rushed sorry.
