in a testing exercise an EAF-01A successfully destroyed an old GSTF satellite with an ASAT after it was retired the EAF-01 flew up to low Earth orbit sustained it until it neared 140 km of the target opened the doors to its weapons bay and released one ASAT after 2 seconds of drifting slowly below the EAF-01 the ASAT ignited its fuel and tracked the target for 38 seconds then slammed into it shattering it into shrapnel which the EAF-01 maneuvered around upon beginning its re-entry into Erthe's atmosphere after the exercise one of the SRRU drones purchased from the UCS was used to gather up the debris into a kevlar net which was then sealed and released like a trash bag leaving it prepped for recovery by shuttle
