This is a project for those who lived through all those nightmares. It's something sad and traumatic that happened, I don't have a family member that went through the towers but my grandfather was only a few miles away from the Pentagon when the crash happened, he also worked right next to the white house where the fourth airplane was going to hit, but by a miracle of God it wasn't, I would like to thank those people that sacrifice themselves to protect all the people in the white house. - Short story: This is realistic fiction, to those who don't really know what happened in the towers. I won't go too far due to not getting ban, but if ya'll want this to become a book, then I'm fighting! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | September 11, 2001, 8:36 - North tower, floor 92 | Jason Miller sat on his chair as he looked down at his computer, he let out a huff as he looked at the numbers. Jason was on the 92nd floor and he had to turn in a few work assignments around 8:46, which was just a few minutes away. Jason was never good with turning things on time, it was like that ever since he was in high school. Now he was 37 and he still isn't great at turning work right on time. "Miller!" A voice whispered from behind him, startled, he turned around and saw his best friend, Mark Thomas, he was smiling like a kid on Christmas "What did you do?" Jason asked with a smirk "Well, I confessed to Mila" he responded "Well I'll be dam" he said as he sat up straighter "I know, I'll be going on a date with her tomorrow" he whispered excitedly. Jason smiled at his friend "You're a lucky man, Mark" he said as he patted him on the shoulder. "Miller!" Jason jumped at the voice as he turned around in his rolling chair, Mark winced "Oh, someone's in trouble" he whispered as he departed back to his own cubical. Jason looked up and saw his boss, a man in his forties who had a permanent scowl on his face, "Yes Mr. Bern" Jason asked, attentively. "My office now!" Bern stormed away disappearing into the office, Jason stood and felt that mostly everyone was giving him sympathetic eyes as he walked the row. He opened the door and Bern was sitting on his chair "Do you know why you're here, Miller?" He asked, his voice cold as ice. "Um, because I didn't turn in the paper work" he replied quietly. "Precisely!" His voice boomed "I gave you two weeks, and yet you come empty handed!" He roared, Jason flinched back and opened his mouth to argue but wasn't given the chance "I have very important people on my ___ so if this doesn't get finished today, I'll have to let you go" he said. Jason bit his lower lip and nodded "I-I understand sir" he replied softly "Dismissed" Bern said simply. Jason stood and practically ran out of the room, as he exited, he noticed that other employees were looking at him, he gulped and walked back to his desk "Can't believe that I got scolded like a little kid" he thought, he looked outside the window with a sigh, he noticed an airplane, it was flying dangerously low but he didn't pay mind to it and looked down at his computer "It's going to-" - A loud explosion came from the North tower, Avery Williams was passing by in her news car when it happen her camera man was sitting in the passenger seat and he gasped "Get out of the car and start recording!" She shouted as she got out and took her microphone "This is Avery Williams with Station 25, we are at the world trade center and witnessing something that will change history" she said as she looked at the camera... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And that is where I will be ending it! Get this to a good amount of views and I'll continue to write!
