Here's how you play: The goal in this game is to reach the goal while avoiding all of the mines! But, there is a twist. The mines are invisible and once a player steps on it, the mine appears and gets revealed. If you step on a mine, you might get sent back to the start, earn something special, be paused, who knows!?! The last person to reach the finish line will be eliminated. If you're the last player standing, you win! Good luck and try not to get too unlucky! --- RULES --- Only @BarryFans, @ZYellow, @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop, @Twin138956Scratch, @Kyle3912Again, and @ScratchTeen9300 (as well as their other accounts) are allowed to break these rules. Rules marked with a (!) can only be broken by @BarryFans, nobody else! (!) 1. Remember REMIX ETIQUETTE: Comment "Remixing..." in the comments before starting a remix, so people know not to accidentally split the remix tree's branches. If you don't intend to make a new remix branch, then don't remix if someone has commented "Remixing...". (!) 2. DO NOT BREAK SCRATCH'S COMMUNITY GUIDELINES!! That means nothing too scary or vulgar & no swear words! (!) 3. Don't add or remove anyone from the breaking rules list without permission! Furthermore, don't delete any of these rules or instructions & don't completely change the project title either! 4. Don't delete or destructively modify anything you didn't make! You are allowed to do this though if something breaks any rules or the Community Guidelines or if you need to fix a bug or glitch. 5. Don't make your characters too large, that would make it hard to see. I would suggest scaling your character IN THE COSTUME EDITOR to match the size of the other characters before making your other costumes. (!) 6. (PLEASE respect ZYellow's opinion on this) Please DON'T add any content from FNF, that means no characters, references, AND music tracks from that game. The reason why this rule exists is because FNF was involved in an incident with the New Oddball Mirror Hall. That incident caused problems for ZYellow much later and it tarnished his opinion on that game (if you like that game, then ZYellow respects your opinion). 7. Please refrain from adding any static images for characters, even if you attempt animate them, background included or not (EG: A PNG or JPEG of a Minecraft mob or some other thing). 8. I don't recommend adding any singular characters that appear to be 2 separate characters (EG: Mario & Luigi both as 1 character), unless they are stuck together with no feasible way to physically detach them OR if one of them appears in a stunned costume of the other. 9. Don't delete any music tracks unless they break the Community Guidelines. If you don't want to listen to a certain song or genre, utilize the "audio exemption" functionality to make sure you can't. 10. On the topic of music, please also refer to the Music comment's recommended music limit so that it can't have too much lag from this project. 11. You can add yourself to the thumbnail, but please don't delete any characters off it or completely change it altogether! I also recommend that you group your characters to prevent clutter. Make sure you double-check these rules in the thumbnail just before you share the project. Don't let your remix be UNOFFICIALIZED by broken rules, or else it'll likely be abandoned. --- HOW 2 REMIX --- Want to add a character to this game? Follow these instructions carefully to get them in: 1. Scroll up & read the rules! DON'T proceed until you've done this! 2. Click the green "Remix" button at the top-right corner (duh) 3. Create a duplicate of the "Player0" sprite, and follow the instructions I put in. 4. Create your character! Replace every costume in the duplicated sprite EXCEPT for the "Edge-Breaker", "Default", "Size-Breaker", and "Hitbox" costumes with your character, replace all "Voice" sound clips with your character's voice & set their name. 5. Test your project &, if you like the result, either continue to add more characters or share it! 6: You can add characters to the thumbnail & add more music tracks if you'd like. 7. Before you share your project, PLEASE make sure that you credit for the Pen Text Engine++! If you don't want to type their username, here's a template that you can copy and paste: Credit to for Pen Text Engine++ ( ). --- ADVICE --- It is tricky to tell which route to take because of the mines, so watch the other players' moves very carefully and then plan a route to the finish, but be quick about it or else you're toast! For the mine types, see inside the project.
Why is it rewritten? WELL, first of all, I didn't add any new features or graphical improvements, so this is not a remaster or redux, but I did make some changes to improve gameplay and fix bugs/glitches. -All of the mines have been moved into one sprite for organization. -A better hitbox system has been introduced, specifically the one used in Shell Shock REDUX -The hidden 3 minute timer has been added to prevent rounds from taking forever or a possible softlock. Because of this reason, a draw is possible in this game now. -I removed the "Delight" and "Dismay" costumes/voices because realistically, I don't think anyone would stop running for a brief moment just to say their phrase when this is a race to the end! -I did add a new costume, that would be the "Shocked" costume, which is just an exaggerated expression the players do after stepping on a Pause or Teleport mine. -An automatic alignment system has been added to the game, so all of the costumes can be centered in the costume editor. -When the thumbnail sprite is clicked, it does the same hiding animation it does when starting the project. -The size function is still there for people who don't have the time to scale their characters. -A size-breaker costume has been added to prevent reaching the size limit. -The code for the invincibility has been changed so the game can support more than one invincible person. -"Invisibility mines" have been renamed to "Invincible mines." Additionally, the ghost symbol for the invincible mines has been replaced with a star. -"Speed Increase" and "Speed Decrease" mines have been renamed to "Speed Mines" and "Slow Mines" -Regular mines now have an orange colored circle instead of a green colored circle. -Everyone has running costumes instead of walking costumes because the name of this minigame is called "Minefield Run!" and not "Minefield Walk" -The Mine Detector sprite has been removed as it is not needed anymore. -Fixed an issue with the layering of the goal flag. -Fixed a major bug where if multiple players cross the finish line at the same time, the player who finished last place still has a chance to be safe from elimination and the game will eliminate the wrong person. This was also an issue in Noggin's RL GL Redux, but I fixed it in my remaster. Additionally, they will say their safe phrase when crossing the finish line even if someone else is also saying their safe phrase. -I removed the forever loops in the Text Engine sprite to prevent lag on lower-end devices. Broadcast blocks are now in place. -Fixed a minor detail where when the player gets eliminated for finishing last, the explosion effect would be the wrong color. -Getting launched by a regular mine no longer resets the player's speed. This took around a week to work on, and I felt like giving up on this at one point, but I kept trying, and because I kept going, I managed to finish it! While this is most likely going to get unofficialized, I'm hoping this remix will help in case someone decides to make a REDUX version of this minigame. And while I did comment "Remixing.." on the original project the day before this was released, it was because it was part of the Remix Etiquette and you're supposed to do that before sharing your remix. As for characters, I added myself and Sharko. As for music tracks, I used the audio exemption on some certain songs I didn't want to listen to.
