The Olde Station Road By EclipsePlaysz I still remember that night… It was a Thursday, 2 weeks into October. The cold that night was enough to burn my bare skin. I had received word that I was required to go to Aurora for urgent business. I had gone to the Train Station early that morning, perhaps around 2:00 AM, because I had decided it would be faster than taking my vehicle. I bought the ticket from the station master and waited by the platform. Train 17 came at 2:55 am, as I boarded the train I had noticed that there was a man sitting in the back corner, I thought nothing of it at the time. Boy was that a mistake… About halfway to Sloatsburg, I noticed that the man was gone. The door to the next coach was open and I had the feeling that something was awfully wrong. I stood up and walked to the coach; there was a woman sitting in a seat about 8 rows down, she was pale and looked like she had seen quite a fright. I walked over and asked “Miss, are you well?”… She didn’t respond… “Miss, Hello?”… and she still didn’t respond. That's when I realized… she was dead. I was horrified, because she was truly scared to death! Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the door to the next coach open. Nobody was there. Knowing that the killer must still be on the train, I ran to the Conductors booth to alert him of the danger. I reached the conductor's booth and realized… he too was dead! I had also noticed that Sloatsburg was now less than 2 miles away. I had to get off that train. Suddenly the air grew cold… a dark, despairing, angry cold… I felt a freezing presence, and when I turned around the man from before was standing there… but that was no man… too skinny and too tall… his skin was that of the night sky. His eyes were an alarming red glow, his smile was full of daggers. And before I knew it, it was gone… but I could yet not move. Then from behind me, the thing whispered: “Be still, good sir. The train has not yet reached its destination… and neither, I’m afraid, have you.”. By then I had regained the ability to move, and I fled to the door. The train had stopped at Sloatsburg, and I had finally escaped. After I had gotten off, the train left… and vanished into the fog. I took a few minutes to think of the encounter I had just been in… and eventually I bought another ticket to Aurora, and I arrived there at 7 in the morning. When I went back to the Station on Olde Station Road, it just wasn’t there, no parking lot, no foundation just… gone, like it never existed. I keep retelling the story of the Olde Station Road and Train #17, yet nobody believes me… maybe I am just insane, or the thing is still watching me.
