ALEX ROSS IS LITERALLY THE BEST LIVING COMIC ARTIST EVER!! if you don't know who he is, he's a comic artist who has worked for both marvel and DC. he is also the co-creator of comics like marvels, which observe superheroes from the perspective of normal, ordinary people, giving these heroes an almost godlike reverence. they might as well be gods walking amongst men. kingdom come is similar. as new york reporter phil sheldon once said: "They were the Marvels. That was the word that came to mind, the word that caught on. They were something more than human, something magnificent and dangerous. They were like gods roaming the earth—and we were just ordinary men, watching from the sidewalks." "They weren't here to win the approval of the petty and the small-minded. They were here to save the innocent."
