"Déjame en paz!" I yell at my little sister. She giggles and scurrys to the other side of my bed. "Es hora de cenar, hermanita!" She emphasizes. I groan. "Vale, vale, ya estoy levantado!" Of course Mom sent Isabella to come and wake me up. Typical her. "Dónde está mamá?" I ask Isabella. She replies with "No lo sé, hermanita." I shake my head. Again typical of her. "Ve a ponerte la ropa de la escuela, Isabella." I tell her. She frowns but leaves my room to get ready for school. As soon as she shuts the door I breathe a sigh of relief. Time for one more minute of my precious beauty sleep. "Finally!" I mutter in English. "Qué fue eso?" Isabella screams from her room. "Nada! Estaba hablando conmigo mismo!" I yell back. Isabella can be a handful. "Kinda wish Mom was around more" I mutter to myself. Oh well might as well figure out how to feed Isabella with no money. "Date prisa, tenemos que irnos pronto!" I scream down the hallway. "Ya casi está!" I hear in response. I groan. Were going to be late for school again. I open my door and slam it shut. I make my way down the hallway and open my sisters door. "Qué estás haciendo con el maquillaje de mamá? Estás loco?" I scream. Isabella smiles innocently. "Todas las chicas de la escuela usan maquillaje y yo quería encajar." She replies. I sigh. "No tienes que ser como los demás, cariño." I tell her in a soft calm voice. She sniffles and wipes all the makeup off. I'm really glad I made it on time or she would've put fake eyelashes on. That would have been something I wouldn't have been able to explain to mamá.
