I love reading, cats and birds, and botw. [ Territory! ] Mountains. Any mountains. [ Physical Species Traits! ] ScreechClan is a hawk and falcon-cat clan! They have the coloration of most sorts of cats and many types of hawk and falcon, as well as long feathers and large wings. Their tails are feathered in a small fan like hawks, and they tend to have large eyes. Often, the eyes have dark markings around them, akin to a falcon. They have feline bodies with thick fur, feathered wings, tails, and feathers on the paws, ears, back, and legs. There are 2 main body types, the larger, bulkier Hawk-Type and the leaner, smaller Falcon-Type. Art shows the 3 leaders, all hawks, and a falcon type, Swiftlight. [ Societal Traits! ] - Typical clan demeanor: Aggressive to outsiders, very fierce and protective of their territory. - What traits are valued in the clan: Speed, Bravery, Cleverness. - How are outside relationships viewed in the clan: Hated. You are seen as betraying ScreechClan to find love beyond it. - Are medicine cats, deputies, or leaders permitted a mate? What about kits? : Yes. Sort of. Healers can have mates and kits as long as someone can cover for them. Leaders can have mates and kits, but only if the deputy and other leaders can cover. - Are they selected from birth for these roles, or are they chosen from the clan’s population: Selected by the Leaders. - How do they interact with each other within the clan: Respectful. They honor their clan deeply and treat each other with love...unless they betray the clan. - Do they have any naming trends, taboo names, or special prefixes or suffixes reserved for certain ranks: Kits are often named for honored ancestors. - Do they have a different kind of governing system than the canon series clans? Perhaps a democracy, monarchy, or oligarchy?: Three leaders. A leader of socials, hunting, and battle. Each receives 3 lives. - Do they have different names for their leaders, deputies, medicine cats, warriors, etc: Yes! Leaders take the name of their role, either -heart, -pounce, or -slash. Those names are forbidden to non-leaders. There is one deputy for each leader. Medicine cats are called Healers. - Do they have any ranks that don’t exist in the canon series? They have Skywatchers, who serve as scouts and weather watchers. They learn to hunt, climb, and fly to scout and travel, but they also learn about what clouds bring storms. - Do they believe in StarClan? The Dark Forest? Something else entirely? Or do they believe in nothing at all? They believe strongly in both StarClan and The Dark Forest, but they see it as sort of a holding place until you can be reborn and fly again. - How strictly do they follow the warrior code? Are there parts they would change, or rules they would add or remove? They follow it to the letter. - Do they respect history, or see ancestors as a boring, obsolete thing? They respect the warriors who brought honor to the clan, but ancestors in general are just...gone. - Do they want good relations with the other clans? Yes, but only to protect their home. - How do they treat outsiders? Hatefully unless they prove themselves to ScreechClan. - Are they territorial? Very. ScreechClan´s elders are the only ones who record history. And after the plague...There are a few stories of a clan beyond the island that survived, but only rumors remain for the clan´s true past. A few legends, however, are widely known.
