The referendum in North Macedonia has officially concluded, and the Macedonian people have voted for reunification! North Macedonia now joins as the third republic of our Federation. However, this expansion has reignited internal disputes within the government, bringing back the fears of Serb-domination. To address this, reforms are in the makings. These reforms would decentralize the balance of power between all republics. The Premier of each republic shall be appointed and governed by its own people. However, the government must stay centralized enough to maintain stability and keep internal affairs flowing smoothly. Instead of an executive council bound to heavy bureaucratic lag, a Federal Assembly shall be set up with two chambers. One will be based on population, and the other will give each republic equal seats to prevent a single state from erasing the voices of others. To ensure the permanent integrity of our borders, any attempt at secession is strictly illegal under federal law. Any state that secedes has committed treason against the state, permitting intervention by the VJ (Army of Yugoslavia) and freezing of assets. Additionally, Belgrade will keep an emergency override power in the case of a national crisis, bypassing regional blocks to push critical decisions through. Each republic is still subject and bound to federal laws and must ensure the protection of all ethnicities. Appointed representatives alongside Premiers would convene with the State Chairman (President) in Belgrade monthly to report the situation, iron out disputes, and receive feedback/advice from its fellow republics to keep the unity.
[Notes] - I don’t know if I’m supposed to write formal or not for RPs :( someone please tell me as currently I’m writing somewhat formal - Meant to make this a while ago when Macedonia joined yet forgot ;-; - The “animation” was heavily inspired by a random video I saw when searching up “Uz Maršala Tita” [Credits] @OrdosocialistMapper for the TFR Superevent template used @Mohibul17227 for the map used
