there's this "hot takes" trend goin on in the spop comm so idk if im late but i wanted to join :3 some of these are silly, some are a bit more serious. because i'm still pretty young, i won't go into rly deep topics but maybe a few controversial things so lets get started <3333 #1 school stereotypes guys, school is different for EVERYONE. u can hate ur school all u want but maybe some people actually like it and dont want to admit it because everybody will jump them. not just that, but all the math lovers (ik ur out there!) like just because someone likes math when it seems like 99% of people don't (which is totally an exaggeration) doesn't mean they're "weird" or anything. believe it or not, but many careers require lots of math so those who love it actually have an advantage: they enjoy working with it. and one thing robots can't do? complex math. (and i have proof bc once my friend was doing some rly hard math homework from an extracurricular and she had to teach ChatGPT how to do her homework bc she knew it was wrong TT) #2 that one aesthetic small font THAT SMALL FONT AHHH. i like cute fonts or swirly fonts but the one that looks ₗᵢₖₑ ₜₕᵢₛ or smaller bothers me SO MUCH. especially bc i'm the kind of person who can't look at complex patterns, distorted or blurry images, and wears glasses because of lazy eye (amblyopia) and farsightedness (hyperopia). not to make excuses but like why so small TT. u can be aesthetic without using that font guys i wont jump u. #3 kpop and song genre variety i feel like almost all of the spop comm are kpop fans. before i joined i even thought that u had to be a kpop lover to join until i realized spop is "Scratch pop" meaning any kind of music. but not just that, i feel like ALL girl groups are kpop idolized (or the few that have no idol and are og concepts but those are different i like those). right now, i'm part of a girl band irl. BAND, NOT KPOP GROUP. many bands at my music academy are rock bands, so they're trying to start a pop one. i think an idea of a company starting a more rock or pop based group would actually be a good idea and add some more variety in the spop comm. #4 face reveals guys i see a lot of genuine face reveals that aren't april fools projects and actually have ppls faces in them... if u didn't know n ur innocent, guys it's against comm guidelines so please don't do it. it also puts your safety at risk, could be used to train ai image generators, or stolen by someone and reposted to other platforms online. PLEASE PLEASE DON'T DO IT. my mom is especially not putting my face anywhere online until im 18 bc she wants to protect me, so PROTECT YOURSELVES GUYS! you don't need to prove you're pretty through a face reveal. ur all beautiful <3333 inside jokes/inside information i think people need to be aware that there are new spoppers, new scratchers, new people being born every few minutes (or seconds idk which one is scientifically proven lol). not everyone knows all the inside jokes and how to act and what to do, so even though you can say "welcome to scratch!" most people just disappear and never come back to them. please teach them things! some people are too shy to ask for help (unlike me who literally commented what /lcfc meant TT) and these "unspoken rules" isn't the same as "etiquette" because it's not manners, it's literally the community and its people. the humor and stories we share with each other, and you can only learn that through experience, not common sense. we need to do better, though on the newbie's behalf, maybe introduce urselves so we know who u are a bit and can actually start a conversation. more in notes + credits!
#6 being either "gifted" or "disabled" i'm not here to say "oh if you're gifted use your potential" or "people who are disabled aren't unable." we already have plenty of those arguements (AND I TOTALLY SUPPORT THEM!) i'm just saying you don't have to be special to make a difference, and by make a difference i mean actually get somewhere in life. Sure, people who (for example) "have autism but went to harvard!" or any other cheesy news title like that may get the headline, but fame isn't everything and yall should be mature enough to know that. it's YOUR PROBLEMS that matter most, not what others think of you. make friends, live life, but ALWAYS try to be in control or you'll end up struggling. "BuT aT LeAsT hAvE FoLLoWeRs!" basically, what i'm saying is you can be a totally normal person, but as long as you survive in this competitive world, you've made it. you don't need anything extra. #7 brainrot WHY DOES BRAINROT EXIST. it's so stupid and useless and is scientifically proven that with long exposure could make you lose neurons or even IQ (IQ in some cases but i know neurons is more realistic) so just why does it exist and WHAT IS IT TO LIKE. THERE IS NOTHING TO LIKE GUYS and i hate to see little kids like 5-6 year olds enjoying it and growing up with it. that's just wrong. i may not be an adult who was born in some different generation, but i think if i was a 5 yr old now i wouldn't even like brainrot. whoever created it, shame on you. >:( i guess that's all. idrk if these are considered "hot" or "cold" or "lukewarm" bc honestly i don't care. i did it mostly to follow the trend having no other project ideas, and also just to put some of my strong opinions out there (which i'm not a very opinionated person so this was lowkey hard for me XD)
