just a reminder to everyone that this is just my opinion and, since everyone is sharing their thoughts, i decided that i might share mine too. ^^ #might_get_cancelled ⤷ i personally believe that katseye’s performances are getting way more inappropriate than they should be. i’m getting more and more uncomfortable watching their mvs and watching their live performances. out of the three groups in ‘iconic by mistake’, i feel like katseye’s was just the one that made me feel the most… awkward? distressed? uneasey? besides, there are, like, eight y/os watching them and listening to their music… shouldn’t their choreographers tone it down a bit? (not kpop *sighs*, ik) ꩜ just because people have angelic soft voices, does not mean that they are actually good at singing… there’s a difference between shouting; belting out loud; half-singing, half-breath; and actually good singing. why do companies choose these people with soft voices? i don’t even know when it started being a trend, but i think there is so much more potential from other people as well. (no hate at all to these people with angelic voices lol, i have to admit their voices are more attractive.) ⤷ people/k-pop fans should stop calling their biases from boy groups their ‘husbands’ or ‘boyfriends’. there’s just no need, and if i were in their biases’ position, i would feel very uncomfortable, especially with the fact that there are hundreds of fans that call ‘me’ the same thing. i would just feel disgusted. ꩜ banners are literally what makes people audition, stream a cover, stream an og song and click on a project. i see people auditioning, and i look at people’s answer for “why do you want to audition for this group?” or smth like that, and they put “because the banner ate”. banners are the main part of s-pop. or anything on scratch for that matter. if they are made badly, no one will want to click on that project. which makes me sad :( because some groups have sosososo much potential. (guys trust i’m not a stalker heh ><) ⤷ i miss bts’s old concepts and lyrics. before i feel like the songs and lyrics and backing tracks actually had a meaning, you know? i loveloveloveloveloved take two and euphoria (which then inspired my old acc’s username (@--euphoriq) and their lyrics were so, so powerful… but now? i don’t feel anything. like, what is swim? swim swim water falling of your skin… >< bts just doesn’t give me their vibes like they used to. ꩜ i feel like the auditions for groups with good companies for promotions and banners always pick the same people. every. single. time. people that are more ‘popular’ or more ‘talented’ and have been in the s-pop community the longest are always the ones that get picked. so other s-poppers don’t even get a chance to get in if these ‘popular’ s-poppers audition.
summary !! (for ppl like me who are too lazy to read full explanations) ⤷ katseye’s performances are getting more and more uncomfortable to watch. ꩜ s-pop companies should pick people who can sing well, not just the s-poppers that have angelic voices. ⤷ k-pop fans should stop calling their biases from boy groups their ‘husbands’ or ‘boyfriends’. there’s no need. ꩜ banners are the main factor of what makes a group/project/audition/cover/og song popular. ⤷ i miss bts’s old concepts, lyrics and backing tracks. back when their songs used to actually have a meaning. ꩜ good companies with good promotions and banners pick the same, ‘popular’ people every single time.
