Capacity: 1600 kg or 21 persons. Speed: 1 m/s (Now 0.5 m/s). Logic: Orona Arca 1 (Now Lester Controls Almega 2). Fixtures: Orona OR96 (Now Dewhurst buttons + Lester Controls display). Voice: Older Drucegrove (Now Lester Controls). Motor: GMV T4 pump unit (Now Bucher pump unit). Floors: 6 (0, 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5). Doors: Orona/Fermator (Now Selcom branded Wittur HydraPlus). Starter type: Solid state with soft-starter. Maintenance company: Bimo Lifts. Location: Undisclosed block of flats, Krommeveen, ST. This a nice low income block of flats which opened in September 1999. It used to have a nice Orona OR96 hydraulic but it has been ruined by ThyssenKrupp in 2018 with Lester Controls! YUCK! Then, in July 2026, the building owner (Who is a Karen and owns this place since Oct. 2017 BTW) decided to switch the lift maintenance contract to Bimo Lifts. They added a cringe music player and Bimo even stole the goofy Colitas chime and made it louder! The chime plays every time the doors opens BTW. BTW, the fire alarm system was a 1999 Notifier system with voice evacuation (SpectrAlert classic) and NBG10 pull stations, replaced in 2018 with a more modern one which has white L-Series and NBG12's. It got replaced mostly due to failing BG10 pull stations (The rest was mostly fine whether it was the FACP, the optical smoke detectors, the annunciator(s), the speaker strobes and the remote strobes). And lastly, the HVAC system is still the original Daikin one from 1999.
