*Extra Atmospheric Fighter - 01* (yes this is based off SR-72 concept) The GSTF has begun pushing the boundaries of where weapons can go how far and how fast we'd like to introduce the EAF-01A Supernova an extra-atmospheric fighter craft this craft starts on the ground and takes off like any other fighter but as it gains altitude it does not slow down or lose lift instead it utilizes Hybrid/Combined-Cycle engines fueled by liquid oxygen which accelerate the EAF-01 to mach 5 in high atmosphere while in air breathing mode and up to 18,500 miles per hour (29,773 kilometers per hour) in orbit it is meant to be a satellite and spacecraft interceptor with orbital strike capabilities it is currently not for sale whatsoever with 5 instances being currently operated by the GSTF as of 2035 (not sure what year it is exactly since some ppl have projects from 2036 and some have projects still from 2034 so idk it is manned and the pilot wears a protective space suit within the cockpit and for atmospheric flight the cockpit fills up with a transparent Kineto-Absorbent impact gel which reduces stress from G-forces while in atmosphere and helps with keeping pilot stable and pressurized while in zero-G environment and the engines use ultra-thin heat exchangers to chill superheated air down to -150°C in a fraction of a second to keep the EAF-01 and its engines cool but that rejected heat has to go somewhere which presents a massive IR signature now stealth cant really be achieved at the moment with a fighter like this so since its gonna be completely out in the open it needs proper countermeasures for this it uses a Directed Infrared Countermeasures (DIRCM) system that uses a small low powered DEW 360 degree ball point turret as a laser dazzler to overload the tracking missiles extremely sensitive focal plane array (FPA) and blind it development: 299 billion dollar classified EAF program which has been ongoing since late 2033 in secret production costs: $3.8 billion per unit operation/maintenance cost per flight: $250,000 to $1,000,00 per flight hour specs(highly classified this is just here for canonization purposes): Radar: Cloudy Skies ( a little over mach 5) (max speed in atmosphere) Max Altitude: none Armament: 8 internal hardpoints for 8 orbit to surface cruise missiles(PIN), or 8 anti satellite/spacecraft (ASAT) missiles as well as Polestars PIN missiles recently purchased in bulk (can carry either 8 PIN missiles for orbital precision bombardment or 8 anti satellite missiles( ASAT's)) cost per unit: $3.8 billion Operation Range : in atmosphere: 8,370 miles (13470.21km) in orbit: can stay in orbit as long as needed without using fuel once it gets up to speed but if it were to constantly burn fuel it could stay operational for around 12 hours mainly due to oxygen for pilot dimensions: a length of 108 feet 2 inches (32.96 m), a wingspan of 38 feet 2 inches (11.63 m), and a height of 17 feet 5 inches (5.3 m)
