PHASE 01///: Phase 01 kicks off with the air force and navy being mobilized in large numbers to begin bombing Louisiana. Our main bombers will fly over southern Louisiana and begin bombing military targets, mainly air fields, air bases, missile stockpiles/launchers, and any other aerial military targets that are located in the south while long-range missiles along with some stealth bombers are sent to the north to bomb Barksdale Air Force Base mainly to ground their B-52 bombers and other major air bases to keep them grounded while also bombing said aircraft if possible to give us air superiority. Naval units will begin a blockade of the Mississippi river ensuring that nothing leaves into the Gulf and nothing enters into the river as we hope to hit their economy hard by doing this. A separate blockade on New Orleans will be in order as well to make sure they can't use that as an economic stabilizer. We will also of course bomb their naval ports and bases while we are at it to ensure that while our navy is far stronger than theirs, we still have pretty much uncontested naval and air superiority in the south, including taking out their long-range missiles in the North and South. PHASE 02///: A force of 3k of our special forces will then land on the Grand Isles seeking to take full control of these islands but will not march up the highway just yet. As they are landing in the Grand Isles, a paratroop force of 10k will be flown over any defenses that may be in the area and will land behind the defenses. Their goal is to march up behind them and flank them to take control of the said defenses and take control of the bridge so the 3k can join them. Once that is secured, an additional 28k will land on the actual mainland just north of the Isles and connect with those forces (basically taking control of the Leeville LA-1). Over at Vermilion Bay, a force of 23k will land there from a amphibious assault and march onto the coast and then begin marching their way over to New Orleans, ensuring that the Louisiana ground forces stay split having to take out this force as this is the one we make look more dangerous than they actually are so our forces closer to New Orleans can maybe catch some slack since we focused on overcoming those defenses. PHASE 03///: Once the bridge is secured by airborne units, and Vermilion Bay is also secured, the main armored units will march North up the LA-1 corridor through Thibodaux before hooking east along Highway 90 to launch an assault on New Orleans and hopefully at least capture the outer areas of the city to stage a final blow.
YET ANOTHER, CRAZY DIFFICULT INVASION !!! Don't forget that at Vermilion Bay, the ground isn't really swampy but actually transitions into flatter plains!!!
