Press space! This is a new book series coming soon called Runaway about some wolves that are believed to be "Immortal" and "Dangerous" because they were not blind when they got a cut across their eye. When the first wolf that had this (Juniper, part of the normal wolf pack), the packs believed the blood moon had brought this upon them (the blood moon was a bad moon that brought plagues, droughts, fires, and everything bad that happened in the forest), and the wolf packs decided to exile Juniper. To symbolize this, they added another cut going horizontally to make it look a bit like a star. Juniper was very young when this happened to her. She was only 2 weeks old when she was playing with the other pups when another pup played to rough and injured her eye. She then had to go to the healer where it tried her best, but knew she would be blind. She shared this with the pack alpha, and went back to Juniper. After a couple of days, Juniper opened her eye, and the healer reported this to the alpha. The alpha was shocked, and told the other alphas. They came to an agreement that Juniper was to dangerous to be in the packs, and was exiled. They made it a rule that if anyone found another wolf like this, they would be reported and exiled immediately. Since Juniper was only 2 weeks old and not old enough to leave and survive on her own in the Forbidden Mountain (there are a ton of dangerous animals and traps). They were sure that she would die, but Juniper proved to be stronger than they thought. As only a young pup, she caught a rabbit, gained strength, and learned how to survive on her own. After she had grown enough to start fighting, she was spotted roaming along the edge of the mountain, near territory boundaries. The wolf ran as fast as it could back to the alpha, where it told him that Juniper had survived. Not long after Dune, another young wolf, was in a battle, and got a cut across his eye. He was exiled. The same happened to Wave, then Frost, Ash, Angel, and eventually, Moon. The moon had prophesized that they were destined to save the packs from the Blood Moon, but the alphas were furious and didn't listen. They attacked the exiles, and tried to kill them, but you need to read the book when it comes out to see what happens next!
There are seven packs: Wood Pack (Where Juniper and Canyon come from), Cactus Pack (Where Dune comes from), Ocean Pack (Where Wave comes from), Arctic Pack (Where Frost comes from), Volcano Pack (Where Ash comes from), Wind Pack (Where Angel comes from), and Night Pack (Where Moon comes from)
