hi, i'm not really good at theories lol!! please don't take this too seriously. okay, you know how the earliest era is called the 'plagued era'. well, i believe that the reason it's called this is due to a plague that happened during the era, and that's why all the ancient clans died out. how did moss clan survive? due to the abundance of herbs in their territory and plenty of medical knowledge, they were able to pull through. i also think that mousebird lived during the plagued era and they used to live in either coastal clan or blaze clan, and after they got sick (red, squinty eye. maybe that was one of the symptoms of the illness?) they left to become a loner. they probably became immortal because they knew important information about the old clans. also i think margot caught a new mutation of the old illness which is why she's constantly sick, since if the old illness was enough to wipe out two clans, then even with more advanced herbs and medical procedures, it's mutated form would still take a number on zem. tdlr: plagued era is named that because it had a plague that wiped out ancient clans. mousebird caught that sickness. margot caught a mutated version of it.
