The Interceptor class of diesel electric submarines is the backbone of the Royal Karsvetian Navy's Sub-surface fleet with 8 in service. designed and commisioned within the mid to late 2000s. With its extensive suite of sensors and electronics it is a potent hunter-killer submarine with a extended range and can submerge for long periods of time. It is also able to fire surface-surface missiles through its torpedo tubes from a safe depth without being vulnerability shallow through data link capabilities though under its own sensors has to be at periscope depth.
