Let me just say, oh my gosh. 30 auditions. 30 real people out there who are interested in musical theater and helping to make my dream come true. Thank you so much to everyone who has participated thus far, and to everyone who helped along the way, whether it was adding my project to a studio, following me, or interacting with the auditions, it has all meant so much. I'm not gonna lie, when I started coming up with the lyrics to Somewhere, Out There in the shower two years ago, I never expected to have written a whole musical, and to have 30 REAL human beings audition to be a part of the musical I had written. It's still so crazy to see, and I can't wait to see what the future has in store. (Who knows, maybe we'll get to 30 by the deadline!) (Edit: WE DID!) I never thought I would have enough auditions to actually struggle with casting! I know directors always talk about how hard casting is, but wow, I never really took them seriously until this project. There is so much talent across the 30 of you that it's hard to pick just one Sunny, just one Glory, just one Peril and one Starflight and one Clay. Next time you're in a show, stop and think about how the casting director got to the point where the cast list is released. Because trust me, it's difficult to decide, especially with online auditions! But thank you for making my job harder, because it just means we will have an amazing show at the end of it all. On a separate note, I am finally fully ready for callbacks. It's been so exciting to create backing tracks to seven of my songs, and I can't wait to do the rest soon :) I've also written a short sample scene, which was fairly simple but just as much of a triumph to get finished. Ahh I'm tearing up as I write this! Just thank you thank you thank you SO much! Thanks to you, this is the one project I will probably ever finish :) -Starseeker/Star ✰ P.S. here's the tracklist as a reward for your good work :)
