{"Can you feel it? Now it's coming back"} Lumi had never felt anything like he had just felt. He doubted anyone could help him with this. He knew what was going on. He had to do this on his own. {"We can seal it if we bridge this gap"} An unwelcome sob rattled him. Deep was gone. Hem probably didn't want to be friends. His siblings didn't really speak to him. And he liked Hem. As more than a friend. {"I can see ya through the curtains of the waterfall"} Lu thought over the scene again. Hem hadn't seemed uncomfortable by what Lu had done. He seemed, tense. Shy, even. Very different form the Hem Lumi knew. {"When I lost it, yeah, you held my hand"} Lu thought back to when he had been a kit. Hem had supported his dream of going to Mossclan no matter how hard it seemed. He respected Lumi's wishes no matter what. He was a great friend. {"But I tossed it, didn't understand"} Lu had grown apart from Hemlock over the moons. But he had never stopped thinking about him. Only thought about him more and more, up until yesterday. {"You were waitin' as I dove into the waterfall"} Lumi had gotten to see Hem again last night. They had caught up. Lumi had sat next to him as the sun sank below the horizon, casting long shadows over the land. But then he had messed it up... Hem had run away. But maybe, just maybe, he hadn't messed it up. It was possible that Hem felt the same as him. {So, say Geronimo, say Geronimo!"} Deep wouldn't have wanted Lumi to blame themself. He would tell Lumi to move forward. Lu would try and see Hem again. He would try to connect with his siblings, maybe even dreamvisit Deep. But he had to do the hard part on his own. He had to talk to Hemlockhaunt again. (ERP)
