More Glitch lore! Not really sure there's much to reveal at this point. Hmmmmm, maybe I should work on that -Glitch Ch. 4 Glitch had gone outside after her conversation with Luna and Lloyd to cool off. After flying for a bit, they had found a large, flat, rock that overlooked the ocean, and sat on it. She pulled a pack from her pocket and lit one of the rolls using sparks she created from the rock She could remember every word like they were permanently engraved into her brain. "Now that we're done with that." Luna had said. "Glitch, Lloyd is here because he wants to talk to you about something." Glitch's eyes narrowed. "About what?" Lloyd answered instead of Luna. "I'm here about your version of me." "What about him?" They snarled. Lloyd took a breath before answering. "I want you to hear me out before getting angry." She crossed her arms and waited for him to continue. "I know that you really want to get rid of me in your universe. I don't know why, I just know that you do. I'm here because-" Glitch cut him off mid sentence. "I know where this is going. Luna, stop trying to give me therapy." "It was his idea. I'm starting to have second thoughts myself if I'm being honest." Luna shot back. "Glitch if you'd just listen to me-" Lloyd started again. "No. I don't care what you have to say." They grabbed a cookie and walked to the door. "I don't care who you are or what universe you're from." Wings unfolded from her back and she took off into the sky. Now here she was, staring at the ocean. She could feel the breeze on her back from where her wings had ripped through the shirt Luna had given her. She was surprised when it had fit, considering that she was taller than Luna. She heard a thump behind her, and then a voice. "You realized how bad that is for you right?" Of course he had followed her. Some things stay the same, even in different universes. She shifted so her hair covered her corruption mark. She inhaled, and when she exhaled, they watched the smoke rise, and then vanish. "I don't do it enough for it to be fatal." "The point still stands." He said, walking up to sit on the rock beside her. "What did I do in your universe to make you hate me so much?" She wasn't expecting that. It caught her off guard. "Why do you want to know?" She asked, their voice full of suspicion. "Because I want to know your story. You seem like an...interesting character." Glitch barked out a laugh at that. "I'm one of the least interesting people you could ever meet. My backstory is nothing compared to Luna's." Lloyd chuckled. "You may be no Luna, but you look like the kind of person to have an interesting backstory." Glitched paused. They didn't know why they were telling him anything. "I'm not originally from the alternate universe. My original one was destroyed when I was little." "Do you know how?" He asked. Glitch shook her head. "I don't. The last thing I remember seeing was a girl. She had horns and frills. Similar to Luna's, but not in the same shape." "What happened after?" Glitch wasn't sure. That day was pretty much a blur, buried beneath years of new memories and trauma blocking. "I can't remember. I just know that I woke up in a different universe. I wandered for a few days before Wu found me. It didn't take me long to learn how to speak the language." "When did you meet me in your universe?" Glitch though for a second. "When I was eleven. That's when we got the call about 'Lord Garmadon' terrorizing Jamanakai Village." Lloyd chuckled, and so did Glitch. "I was a little kid, ok?" They pulled her knees up to her chest, wrapped their arms around her legs, and wrapped her tail around them like it could protect her from the world. "We grew close over the years. I was 16 when the Merge happened. I was trying to save someone I loved, when I slipped. You SAW me. You saw me slip and did NOTHING. You CHOSE his parents over me. People you have never met. You said forever and you LIED." Silence from Lloyd. Her walls immediately shot back up, and she stood, unfolding their wings. "Good talk." And with that, she shot into the air, quickly flying away. After flying for a bit, she spotted Lloyd's Oni friend in a clearing. She landed beside her, startling the girl a bit. "Oh it's you." The girl said. "Hey. I wanted to ask you something." "What's up?" "Because you're an Oni, you can shape shift, correct? I was wondering if there was a way that I could do that, but with my wings?" "I'm not entirely sure how it would work for you." "I traveled through the Land of Monsters for a while. It's how I got my horns and tail." The Oni thought for a bit. "There's a lot of Dark Matter there. If you were there, it probably mutated you more than the horns and tail." "Ok. How would I harness that to shape shift? The Oni thought again. "Maybe if you concentrate really hard and envision what you want to change. It might not be a large change however, as you probably weren't there for long enough." (Cont)
(Ugh, here we go again) Glitch raised an eyebrow. "That's your advice? Think really hard and hope it works?" The Oni put a hand on her hip. "Do you have a better idea?" Glitch didn't. She did what the Oni had suggested. She closed her eyes and thought about what she wanted her wings to look like. Black smoke flowed from her claws and into her back. Her wings folded into her back and disappeared. Glitch looked at the Oni, but she just shrugged. Glitch rolled her eyes, and unfolded her wings. When she saw them, they looked so very different. They were such a dark purple they were almost black, and jagged with a bat-like shape. There were clawed hands at the joint, with the membrane's bright green. She flexed them, watching as the long sharp joints almost scrapped the ground. She looked back at the Oni, and she was looking at the wings that had once been feathered and golden. "Wow. I can't believe that worked." "Me neither. Thanks for the advice. I don't think I caught your name." "It's Kikyami. You're Glitch, correct?" "Yes," she said suspically. "How'd you know?" Kikyami shrugged. "Luna told us a bit about you." She turned around and unfolded her own wings that were shaped like doves, and flew away, possibly to go and find Lloyd. Glitch watched her fly away. After a minute, she launched herself into the sky her new wings feeling more natural than the old ones had, and she flew back towards the castle, feeling good for the first time in a while. || End of Chapter 4 || ================== Next: Check again in a bit :3 Previous: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1376220490/ ================== Characters in order of appearance: Glitch Luna Lloyd Kikyami ================== Chapter 4 written by @DarkMoon326 Chapter 4 cover drawn by @DarkMoon326 ================== Uzi wings :'> ================== Song: Who Am I by Alan Walker
