How I think an interaction between blazing fire and catfish’s maw might go, it’s about his heritage, good time to mention he is an orphan: It was a sunny day, hot for Birthleaf(spring, i’m just going to call it that right now, let me know in the comments if that is not what you want to call it), and Catfish’s Maw had just come back from hunting. It was kind of successful, as he caught a mssive robin. Well massive for him. He sighed. “Catfish, can you come over here for a moment?” That was Blazing Fire, his leader. “What do you want, Blaze, I was just going to nap.” “No you weren’t, you were going to play with the kits and Talk with Sky Flare. Also, don’t call me Blaze, I don’t like being called your silly nicknames in front of others.” “Okay Mrs. Bossypaws.” “That’s my job. But arguing is not what I called you over for, I wanted to talk to you about your heritage.” “What, you mean Windblown Aster and Mouse Eyes?” “No, your Grandparent’s.” “My Grandparent’s?” “Yes, Catfish. Your Grandparent’s. It’s time you know their story.” “Why does it matter.” Catfish’s Maw was starting to get annoyed. Who cared about some long dead cats? Not him, that’s for sure. “Your Grandfather was a cat named Spilt Dusk. But that was not his first name. His first name was Arlo, and he was a house cat. He came to us when he was sick, coughing all over the place, almost throwing up from the convulsions. Our menders patched him up, and he went home. However, two moons after he left, he came back. Turns out his people abandoned him, and just left there. He begged us to left him in, and teach him how to live in the forest. I was but a kitten, but I remember him well. He was kind, and liked spending time with us. When I became a small talon however, he died. We still don’t know how, but a house cat named Natalie came. She carried a single kitten. She told us Arlo, that’s what she called him, died, and this was his daughter. Mouse Eyes looked a lot like you, you know.” Blazing Fire started tearing up, she was good friends with Catfish’s mother. “When they died, you were just a day old. I can’t believe you went so long without knowing. If it were up to the circle, you would’ve known when you were a kitten, and you would’ve been ridiculed by them, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner.” Catfish’s Maw was stunned. Every muscle in his body was screaming at him to move, do something, say something, he wasn’t a soft house cat, he was a cat of the forest. But he couldn’t, all he could say was “is…is that really true.”
