Trigger Warning: Mentions of mental health conditions and oppression of certain groups Some are hot takes, some are not. I'll just get into it. 1. Having a lot of confidence in yourself does not automatically make you a brat. If you're good at something, then by all means, you can say that you're good at it and talk about that. It gets into "brat" territory when you start to call yourself better than someone else at a specific thing, even if you are good at it. Talk about your achievements or your skills by all means, just don't compare others to you. 2. People nowadays have lost so much media literacy that whenever someone notices something in a piece of media that someone with just a little bit of media literacy could notice, they get glazed. 3. There is absolutely no point to be boycotting ENHYPEN. It won't bring EVAN back to the group. Reminder that it's likely that HE chose to leave ENHYPEN to go solo himself. 4. Schools prioritize the wellbeing of their teachers more than their students, and it shows. 5. Speaking of school, they also seem to ignore the existence of mental health conditions entirely, and when they do acknowledge them and say that you "can talk to them" and that "anything is safe with them", they just end up reporting it to your parents. Luckily, this has never happened to me, because when I tried to see the school councellor I walked on eggshells to avoid saying anything that could buy me an awkward conversation with my parents, but I have heard many a story of this. 6. KATSEYE needs a whole-group hiatus. They are being overworked, and it shows. They have two members on hiatus already, and Megan has sprained her ankle. They've become less and less in sync during performances. There is clearly something very wrong, and all of them need a break before the breaking point is reached, because it will be. 7. AI is not the main thing destroying our environment, it's big corporations, and there's not much we can do to stop it. It's a big corporation. All 8 billion people on the planet can't just suddenly boycott it. 8. "Why aren't there any new people in my fandom?" Maybe because you keep bullying them for being new? 9. Children are oppressed. They are treated as if their opinions don't matter, and are mostly silenced when they try to speak out about them. If they are under the age of 18, adults just treat them like infants. 10. Just because KATSEYE likes their current concept, doesn't mean it's right to have that concept in a group that is very clearly marketed towards CHILDREN. (This can be proven with the amount of advertisements they do for various companies; Toca Boca and Gui Gui for example, which both market themelves as kids' products). 11. If you're a billionaire or trillionaire, I'm sorry, but you're just incredibly selfish. If you had a net worth of, let's say, 10 billion dollars, if you gave away 99% of that money you'd still have 100 million dollars to spare. That is far more than enough. You don't need a billion or a trillion dollars to be able to live comfortably. 12. It has become dangerously normalized to hate on men, and then for whoever to do that to defend their actions saying "But I'm being a feminist!". Let me read out the definition of feminism for you. "Feminism is a movement and ideology focused on achieving social, political, and economic equality between all genders." It does NOT mean uplifting women and pushing men down at the same time. That simply is not how it works. 13. On another note, it has ALSO become incredibly normalized to defend actions from women that men would get absolutely flamed for. For example: If a woman destroys her boyfriend's things, she's a "queen" and "he probably deserved it anyway". If the same is done by a man to a woman, suddenly people are opening their eyes up to how messed up that is? How about we start holding all genders accountable for their wrongdoings, when such instances occur. 14. "I don't judge anyone!" Until it's otherkins. Then, suddenly, EVERYONE begins to judge. 15. This opinion is, once again, about media literacy. People nowadays tend to normalize boiling down a character to just a single word / trait, which can result in mischaracterization, which just worsens people's media literacy, which can ALSO result in the same sort of behaviour occurring when referring to real people in REAL LIFE. Educate yourself, please. (Example: Seeing Rui Kamishiro from Project SEKAI as just "Weird" and nothing more, or boiling a transgender person down to JUST being transgender rather than acknowledging that they're a human with feelings and a personality). 16. It is wrong to judge someone who can't shower, brush their teeth or take basic care of themselves because of their mental health. 17. Phobias and fears are different to each other. Just because you are slightly afraid of something, it does not mean you have a phobia of it. A phobia, in contrast to a regular fear, is an intense and irrational fear.
17. (Cont.) Regular fear is just a survival response, and is not nearly as intense as an actual phobia. Once again, please do educate yourselves. 18. It is impossible for ANY K-pop company to be entirely innocent, considering how terrible the industry is at treating their idols. 19. "But [Idol] wouldn't do that! They're so kind!" I'm sorry, but you only see what is approved to be shown to you. You don't know them at all, in reality. You never know if somebody's faking their personality or not, or what's behind the camera. 20. People are always asking for new group concepts or lookalikes, but then when they actually come, they're barely given any attention.
