The internal conflict was finally calming down, Zernovian Troops had finally managed to gain a strong foothold in the city, fighting back the insurgency. That was until September 14th, when a Second explosion rocked Akzova Central Nuclear Power Station. Prime Minister Mikhail Smervnok Delivered the following speech to the press in the hours following the detonation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Prime Minister: "Today, September 14, 2034, a great threat to the people of Taxesia has risen once again." "At approximately 0640 hours, security cameras inside the beginnings what's to become the power plants sarcophagus detected movement, approximately 12-15 armed men, moving towards the main reactor housing. "These militants, believed to be the Elite PMC group known as Volk Division, neutralized the Power Plants defense team, and moved upon the main reactor housing. It's not clear who Volk was hired by, but they were seen entering a former ADVANTedge Corp Research Office, where members of ADVANTedge conducted cutting edge Research on Nuclear Energy. " "The Volk Operatives seized important ADVANTedge documents from the office that were slated to be recovered from the plant in the next few days as radiation finally reached bearable amounts. Before leaving Volk PMC's set an explosive device, equal to around 500 kilograms of TNT, to destroy any documents they couldn't carry out." "The explosives decimated the office and ruptured a hole in the main reactor housing, leaking radiation back into the surrounding environments. Investigation into who Volk was working for has already begun, and important company officials at ADVANTedge are expected to be interviewed in the following days.
