Hey! As some of you may have seen I have recently been doing a lot are art for this character I made a while ago! I wanted to explain some of (about 10 percent…) of her lore! Backstory: Lost sister to the brothers, lost in the lab explosion and reclaimed by Draxum, who raised her and convinced her that her memory of the explosion was her imagination and that she was a weapon. She believed as experiment 129 that she was a weapon who didn’t feel, didn’t deserve decency, and was made to protect the yokai. She has some mental issues…but we’re not riding trip through Akari’s mental breakdown today! Later, maybe. Akari meets Leo, they hang out have some time where their more like “reluctant ally” (Akari) and “wants to be friends with the enemy” (Leo) Akari also receives her name from Leo! Yay! She’s no longer a number! And she also attacks them multiple times before she becomes their friend…but never mind that, onward! Powers: Yes, she has ninpo. No she didn’t before she left Draxum. Yes I will tell you want her ninpo is. Akari's main ninpo is weapon shifting, she can shift her kunai into any weapon, for example I did an art piece recently where Akari is holding a sword like Leo, that’s her kunai’s shape shifting ability, which is why it’s teal not blue on the handle. 2nd ninpo ability: Ninpo mimicking. She can mimic anyone else’s ninpo, but it’s teal. Very useful for cool “Akari loses her cool because some hurt her brothers” art. But also very difficult to draw. She has more ninpo, but I’m not gonna tell you about the whole expanded world I made to explain it, not yet at least. Family: She is a Hamato biologically and is their sister, get that in the clear. She’s 14, btw. I have names for her little duos with the different brothers, like “The Tech Twins” for her and Donnie because they both are good with tech, or Tropical Duo for her and Mikey, because of their mask colors. I also just call Leo and Akari “The Twins” (Or Da Twins) because biologically they are, if you haven’t noticed form her design, Akari is designed to look identical skin tone and marking placement to Leo, now it may not be 100 percent accurate to the canon version of Leo, but it is to my version of colors and markings for him, because being identical to the show is hard. But yes, they are identical twins, and I know what you saying “But identical twins have to be the same gender!” 1, no they don’t, there’s two ways to can be different genders, I won’t get into it, but it is possible. But for them, it’s Draxum’s fault with all his science. Role in story: Drama, mainly. She has a very heartbreaking backstory (once details), has mental issues, trouble accepting she has brothers and that those brothers care for her, and when she finally gets it all figured out, she gets them into a lot more chaos and life threatening trouble, like with Tom. Side note: Akari gets really powerful over the story, so if I ever draw her going full “No one hurts my brothers” mode, be completely prepared for her to look absolutely insanely powerful.
