The moonlight glowed on me, my bag in my hand, walking home from a long day of work. My name is Valerie Inōe or Val for short. I just moved here from Calamari County for College. I’m majoring in writing at Inkblot Art Academy. My favorite mode is Turf War. I sometimes play Splat Zones and Tower Control. I love Salmon Run even though I’m not great at it. I unlocked my apartment door with a click. The door swings open, the outside air is chilly so the warmth of the room feels like opening an oven. I hang up my bag and close the door behind me, it’s 10pm and I’m tired. I log onto Scratch to check if Karina has said anything to me. I click my messages and see that she’s been messaging me nonstop since 9:30. I tap on the most recent one and reply “Girl, chill. XD You’ve been messaging since 9:30! I just got home from work.” She replies. “Oops, sorry. :D” “It’s fine. :3” I write. “I wish we could do Turf War together…” I respond. “That would be fun! We should try some time” “I don’t know if it’s possible though.” I reply. “I’m sure there’s a way!” She says. ❤ ❤ ❤ The sunlight shined brightly through the curtains, waking me up for the day. I turned towards the bedside table and grabbed my phone and checked the time. “CRAPPPPPPP!!!” I thought “I’M LATE!!!!!” I jumped out of bed and brushed my teeth and tentacles, I ran out the door as fast as I could. It was a 7 minute walk to the Lobby and at running speed, 5. I ran like I had full run-speed-up equipped and skidded to a stop outside of the Lobby entrance. There was a top secret Staff Entrance on the side, I walked there and used my key card to open it. By the time I got inside and put my apron on, my panting had slowed down quite a bit.
Hello! My name is Karina Saphire! I'm an inkling in Inkopolis Square! It was a holiday for me, so as I took a bite of my chocolate chip pancakes, I pulled out my phone and went to Scratch. I went to my friend Val's account and clicked on her chatroom. "Hi!" I posted. No response came. "Val? You there?" Nothing. I frowned and scrolled through her followers. Then her projects. She hadn't done anything since last night, and I wondered if she wouldn't until tonight. I messaged her on all kinds of projects then gave up. I looked at my cat, Juddley, and smiled. She was cute, but all she ever did was nap. I paced back and forth, and then pulled out a cookbook. I didn't know what to do on my holiday, but I couldn't just let the day go to waste! I opened it the recipe with my favorite muffins, and began to make them = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = == = = Seven hours later, I smiled at my Pasteries. It may have taken all day to get them right, but they tasted SO good!! I wished Val could've tried one! That suddenly gave me a thought, maybe Val wrote back! I logged into my phone, and giggled at Val's texts. “Girl, chill. XD You’ve been messaging since 9:30! I just got home from work.” "Oops, sorry. :D" I responded. "It’s fine. :3" “I wish we could do Turf War together…” “That would be fun! We should try some time. I don’t know if it’s possible though.” "I’m sure there’s a way!" I quickly replied.
