⋆ ˚｡⋆୨୧˚ Flatwork with Festus ˚୨୧⋆｡˚ ⋆ Today, Festus and I worked on flatwork. We started with some easy warm-up exercises, letting him stretch out and get comfortable before asking for anything more difficult. Once he was warmed up, we worked on transitions, circles, and keeping a steady rhythm. Festus was a little distracted at first, but after a few minutes, he started paying attention and listening to my aids. His trot felt especially nice today: smooth, balanced, and much more controlled than usual. We also practiced getting him to bend properly through the corners instead of letting his shoulder drift out.
